Jayalalitha is corrupt no doubt. But she gets the job done. Only because of her TN has attracted all the investments. Karuna is equally corrupt with no vision or with 2g vision. Anyway, proud to see a Brahmin or the only Brahmin that too from Mysore breaking all barriers and rising to helm in TN - a dravidian iron fort. Who says her past is unknown. Go visit Laxmipuram, 2nd cross in Mysore to see the house she was born. Brahmin cannot do anything openly to other fellow Brahmins. That is the trick to survive and it is no joke to lead a country with 2% population. Alas ... she could be the last Brahmin CM of any state in India.

But, jaya is very daring. I don't find any brahminism in her. She was the only CM who dared to arrest kanchi achariyar for some allegations

Are you jealous about it just like the 1.5 billion muslims are jealous about the 10 millionJews??
D. Goel Pkl. afternoon 5pm, Wednesday,April 6, 2011. It is an interesting report from Srirangam Tamilnadu thatthe feisty political person MS jaylalita is truly an outsider from the other Srirangapattanam by Kaveri Teertham in and around Tipu's Dare-Daulat, as devastated in 1798 by Lord Wellesley. that despite her great career with late MG Ramchandran The Tamil Icon the Ayyangar Vaishnavi is not seen as their local Lady.It is another truth that she has been the Regina Queen of Tamils and AnnaDMK for several Elections in the Past .Parochial exclusiveness are hard to beat..D. What is shocking is the reference to caste all the time? Something unheard of when MGR was ruling or when Jaya was powerful in TN. Now multitude of caste based parties, mainly in the DMK alliance the state politics has degenerated to the level of most other states. Why should the origins of Jaya or even Rajnikanth matter? What matters is their own life - not where their forefathers came from? MGR too was from SLanka- did he not revolutionise education via noon meal etc without resorting to divisive tactics? For Srirangam residents to expect candidates to provide them facitities is genuine demand, but not because the CM might be from their caste. Similarly MuKa should also provide good administration (not TVs, mixies) to everyone not his caste alone. For all the grand talk of caste-abolition, TN today sadly is propagating caste culture and so is no different from say MH or UP or KN or UP. So let's not proclaim that Tamils are very different or revolutionary.
