by Xin Xin on Apr 03, 2011 07:44 PM

Indians are very good in hiding all dirt under the carpet since such dirt can tear away the masks of our great and fake freedom fighters! Thank God there is internet, otherwise such banning owuld have had some influeuce in hiding all the filth and dirt too.How many hindus&patriots including the Bengali public&voters of our states have seen the greatest ever film ever,Aaashani Sanket or Distant Thunder, made by great Satyajit Ray,relating to the Bengal Famine!During the second world war, the british looters&colonizers packed &sent millions of tonnes of food stuffs to England starving millions of hindus to death& the great film by Satyajitji foucsses on this himalayan tragedy or holocaust! What is more the great non-violent saint or great freedom fighter mahatma ganhdee kept quiet all along when millions of hindus were being starved to death&it was this very same mahatma ganchee who asked all hindus& indians to support england in world war&this resulted in Deaths of thousands& thousands of hindus, sikhs&buddhists in World war too. After seeing the great film& after seeing india's pitiable state now as a slavish nation begging for help from western&british looters preventing indian slaves even to visit the western countries& preventing them even from entering UK&Europe&USA,etc all Hindus will be forced

Freedom of Speech !

I donot know what is people's problem really and whether they have anything better to do in hand or not..

Gandhi was a human being and what relation with whom he had,why is it a problem for others ! What is the problem if Gandhi loved a man in certain period of his life !

And what is this "freedom of speech" thing in democracy, does it mean only telling goody goody words about fake Gandhi surname ,anyhow real Gandhi is no more now...

I also donot understand why the so called visionary leader Narendra Modi is indirectly serving congress interests !!!

thebook no one has read. But from thereviews I deduct that it is based on documents and lettersw available in archives. let him have the liberty to present it.
India should not act like a Nazi regime. Even if one concludes the bisexuality let him.Gandhi was very convengtional and also very unconventional and his experiments in clebacy are well known. I will defend him for tryng out what he thought is worth.Let us not be prude

The real issue is that these allegaions are made against Mahatma Gandhi when he is not alive to issue his own reaction. So it is not a good conduct on the part of the author to hint at certain traits of Gandhi. It is in bad taste and therefore a government is entitled to ban such a book.

Mandook, if false allegations are raised in the book , then it should be banned as Gandhi himself cannot defend him now. However what if there are no allegations ? According to author, he has only included Gandhi's letters which were already published in India. Some reviewers in the west has misinterpreted some of the letters, the reviews causing a rumour and on the basis of which the book is banned in India. Someone should read a book before banning.

Many sections in India wsih to remember an idolized image of Gandhi and Nehru, and are peddling it to the detriment of scholalry truth.
Ban only fans curiosity and demand in a manner that is counterproductive to the intention.

In Psychology the attitude of Gandhi and Nehru is called: radical cognitive bonding, or a compulsive love for everything British. Hegel's master-slave dialectic describes this same as a thinghood to which the slave is reduced, believing that what is good for the master is also good for him.
