Dont be swayed by reviews, first of all no one has seen the book, secondly dont forget that all that you have today including the fresh air that you are allowed to breathe because one man decided one day to sacrifice any and everything he had WITHOUT A GUARANTEE that despite doing all this he will be able to achieve what he is sacrificng for. If I go by the reviews, just read the lines carefully, could not have bapu been trying to reform this person EVEN AT THE COST OF HIM BEING CALLED A BISEXUAL LATER ON. Remember he was a visionary who saw the future, he had said at the time of khilafat movement that an opportunity to unite hindus and muslims will not present itself for a 100 yrs to comes......WAS HE NOT TRUE>>>>>DONT POISON YOUR MIND>>>>>>>>THERE ARE MANY WHO WILL DO ANY THING TO GET A CHEAP REVIEW>>>>>>>>NAI HAS NOT RESPONDED AND THEY DONT NEED TO SUCH IDIOTS

you mor0n, cant you see how KHILAFAT movement is singularly responsible for hzcindu mzxlim DIVIDE rather than hzcindu mzlim unity.

Tell me onething Mr. Genius - If today if India starts supporting Al Kaeda, will that lead to hzcindu mzxlim unity ?

Same was the case with Ganzxdhi's decision to support ALi Bros - an unforgivable, unpardonable crime - that led to division of mother India and rise of iszlamic extremism that led to millions of deaths of innocents.

True, its just ganxdhi who sacrificed everything...

There was no one called Netaji (he probably never even existed and was a figment of nationalist imagination).. there was no one called Bhagat singh (also imagined by some people).. no one like savarkar, who was forcefed szhyte by britishers to break his hunger strike.

Heck, there was a telugu freedom fighter called Alluri sitarama raju, whom the brits tortured for days on and on.. removing different parts of body each day before killing him.

And of course, they are all forgotten because only the FRAUD-atma with his sezxcual perversion and pro-izlamic radicalist ideas... is single handedly responsible and has the ONLY claim to fame as the one who WON independence.

THis, inspite of the fact that he never had to undergo torture at the hands of british and was kept in prisons where he was treated like a royal political prisoner, while these people endured hezll for the sake of the country and now their memories also trivialized just to make the fraudster look good.

Mud slinging on Gandhi, tommorrow it might be turn of Ram-dev
by inder ratra on Apr 03, 2011 10:31 PM  | Hide replies

Tommorrow people would see relationship between Ram-dev the modren yog guru and Bal-krishn his close friend and business partner with same eyes. While Ram dev keeps full hairs and beard on face but does not allow bal krisn to keep inch of facial hair. Although Both are themselves unmarried to any female, unlike M. K. Gandhi who married Kasturba. But does this means they both are to be seen with such eyes that indict homosexual behaviour.

The people who bash any of the self-made high-achieving and generally accepted leaders with irrelevant discussions which have no bearing on what the great souls have achieved - are 2 bit morally corrupt and non-achievers, instead of taking inspirations from their positive work, they choose to focus on their unknown stories and may be some mistakes of their life. The parents of these bashers will be very proud of what their kids are doing.

Sonia Gandhi is using Indian Prime Minister/Home Minister/Finance Minister as her watch dogs.
Do you want to know what she thinks of a common man in India?

Romba confusion and nalla publicity!!. Who will read the book?. Better congress buy all books of Gandhi and handover to PCC offices in regional languages with a scheme name called Gandheyam.

Congress can sweep elections in all five states with the book launch.

really ? so the world's oldest and most civilized culture can do no better than follow a man who was morally perverted and mentally soft, and call him "father of the nation" - as if there was no India or Bharat before him or no other great men before him either ?

sangeetha
bad precedant
by sangeetha on Apr 03, 2011 09:28 PM

I think politicians want to set a precedant. Today they banned the book on Gandhi. Fair enough, he is father of nation. However, this makes it easy and less conspicuous to ban any book published in future on Nehru's mistakes or Indira Gandhi's mistakes or corruption during Rajiv's time or even emergency. Then it will extend to politicians living today.

... India will prosper only if we throw this "Gandhi" attitude out. Indians should work towards

1. Protecting cows
2. Protecting and promoting Indian products (Swadeshi) by banning Coke, Pepsi, Gatorade, Orange and Mixed fruit Tropicana
3. Temple for Lord Rama who Bapu worshipped should be built in Ayodhya

Enough is enough Congress should first be honest, noble and pro India. Otherwise get out!

1) I've mixed feelings about Beef consumption. We need to think the rational reason why we need to stop cow slaughter rather than use emotional argument.

2) Nope.. thats possible only if we raise our standards and become capable of producing products on par with East asia or northern america or western europe.. blind self-glorification and protectionism will make us become content with mediocrity. Whimpish Ganzxdhianism encourages only mediocrity.

3) re-building all temples that were destroyed by mzxlims - is a must... but we must negotiate with them on a SET number of such structures.. we cant go around destroying all mosques in india.

4) Reverse the demographic damage to Assaam by deporting all bengali speaking mzxlims living there to bangladesh.

5) Uniform civil code and such issues need to be implemented on a time bound agenda, they shouldnt become mere emotional rants of some nationalists.

Democracy?
by mandook on Apr 03, 2011 08:03 PM  | Hide replies

What has democracy got to do with ban or no ban on a book? Democracy means rule by majority of people of a State. Nothing more than this. Should not democracy ban anything which is considered an insult to the country or her famous and revered leader/s? The author and his misguided supporters have a misguided impression of th word democracy. They are crazy!

Actually, no. That's not democracy, that's majoritarianism.

In a democracy, majority is created by ideas and minority interests are protected against an onslaught by a majority by law.
