Narendra Modi and development…..3
by Sunil upadhye on Sep 25, 2010 11:55 AM

Many scholars and India Inc leaders suggested that if Gujarat model is applied in all states in India, India can easily become a developed nation.
He also took the initiative to raise the controversial Narmada Dam's height above 100 metres. Modi went on to raise the dam's height to 121 metres even after being criticised by environment activists. Though large sections of farmers and other communities were unhappy with his policies, industries thrived during his regime and the condition of the infrastructure in the state improved.

Narendra Modi on terrorism….
by Sunil upadhye on Sep 25, 2010 11:55 AM

On 18 July 2006 Modi delivered a speech criticizing Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh "for his reluctance to revive anti-terror legislations" like thePOTA. He asked the Centre to empower states to invoke tougher laws in the wake of the blasts in Mumbai. Quoting Modi: Terrorism is worse than a war. A terrorist has no rules. A terrorist decides when, how, where and whom to kill. India has lost more people in terror attacks than in its wars.
Narendra Modi has frequently commented that if the BJP came to power at the Centre, they will honor the 2004 Supreme Court judgement to hang Afzal Guru. Afzal was convicted of terrorism in the 2001 Indian Parl;iament attack in 2004 by the Supreme Court of India and is in Tihar Jail.
During the November 2008 Mumbai attacks, on Thursday 27 November, Narendra Modi held a meeting to discuss waterfront security along the coastline. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that a number of steps be taken to improve security:
· Increase the number of police stations along the coast to 50 (from 10)
· Increase the number of police to 1500 from 250
· 30 modern high-speed surveillance boats (there are currently none)

Journalists & Reporters NOT FIT for their job in INDI
by Whiteman on Sep 25, 2010 11:53 AM  | Hide replies

The problem of India is that the media has become hungry for TRP's. A lot of the reporters & journalists in Star News, NDTV, Zee news etc. are newbies, fresh kids on the block. They have never ventured to cover the games in other countries of this scale. Let them know that Melbourne CWG, Beijing Olympics, Doha Asian Games, Sydney Olympics, Greece or USA even were never completed on time. There were hundreds of problems in the Beijing Olympics. I have myself travelled to these mentioned aforesaid and noted that they were never complete. Whereas our Indian Media channels specially are reporting as if they are on PARADISE. There is never 100% complete venue. Its how you manage with an incomplete venue & the attitude that becomes important. I have noticed that many of the journalists in India are not qualified & experienced to do their job. Its just apathy why they have been employed by the news agencies. It is a fact that Journalism is a profession that many people get into because they have failed to venture into other professions. The indian journalism & media scenario needs urgent improvement & training for the reporters. The Government should undertake strict action on qualification of the reporters & journalists most of whom are not FIT FOR THEIR JOB & report to just create SENSATION. Like eg. the kashmir case most of the deaths are because of Media & not because of the governme

I dont agree with you at all when it comes to preparation at Beijing Olympics or other games. Even india organised very good asian games in the past as compare to current CWG.

The kind of corruption, we have seen is reflection of things happening everywhere in india in the name of Development. Has that been the situation PM would not have intervened . I think you are illogical in your conclusion. yes there are problems with media but that is not limited to india only it has happened in US during recession , war with iraq

Media should note that a Blacksmith cannot do a goldsmiths job. Media specially in the North India belt employs unqualified journalists who are not trained to report. They report just to create sensation and then try to jump into competitors media houses for meagre rise in salary. Thats the story of Indian journalists. Nowadays many of these journalists are reporting Anti-india in the name of Government bashing. It is really surprising how the patriotic indian citizens have not taken action against these people. Just eliminate & kill them. Or break down the Star News or Zee News or NDTV or such media house who report negatively. Not politicians but the common people should take action. We cannot allow people with vested interests of meagre salary to humiliate our country. These people specailly from the North indian belt should be beaten black & blue. Or even further Kill them if they dont improve.

Nitesh Corruption during Olympics or even FIFI world cup is rampant. Have you ventured out of India. Corruption is everywhere. People of Indian origin in the UK bribe high profile politicians even the prime minister of UK. Thats equatoon of business & politics. Business believes everything is a commodity even the president of USA for that matter, in case of some special businesses. But then reporting standards & attitude of the Indian journalists & reporters is appalling when they are Indians. I can understand a australian journalist speaking against the country. But Indian TV channels should focus on the positiveness not the 10% negative issues of the games. Whatever the issue, be nationalistic in your reporting. Or you are anti-national.

We are a selfish and unconcerned nation.....
by Shlok Shah on Sep 25, 2010 11:39 AM  | Hide replies

The PM is directly responsible and should have told the nation 6 months ago, that we are not ready for the CWG.

But he chose to lie to us.

On the economic front, this man's government is fudging all figures trying to paint a rosy picture and just a couple of days back this very news site carried a perfect riposte to the claims of the Manmohan Singh government.

The fact that Manmohan Singh has beein lying, cheating the nation does not occur to us or we chose not to pay attention to it.

All we are bothered is about our bank balances, life style and other stupid eccentricities.

We are a selfish and an unconcerned nation.

Narendra Modi vs Kangress
Narendra Modi spent his tenure on development of Gujarat and he got success as Gujarat Developed.

Manmohan singh and Sonia were busy in using CBI against Narendra Modi to trap him and they also looks to be successful in this, considering the recent developments...BUT if Manmohan Singh and Sonia devoted the same amout of time for CWG India wouldn't have been in this shameful situation. CWG is a preparation of years together...and they woke up only few days before.

Our Politicians badly need to understand where should they concentrate.

by Jena Bharati on Sep 25, 2010 04:54 AM

what PM says or does. Mother India is what we make of it, what we strive for. Our MMS is not there to strive for the best and brightest future that India expects its leader to secure for future generaion.
