When you say "India annexed both regions" you seem to imply that it was done unilaterally by India. Kashmir asked for India's help when the Pakistani's were pillaging Kashmir in 1947. India refused to use it's army to protect a region not belonging to it. So Kashmir agreed to be annexed.
become so euphoric even at silly things like obama celebrating diwali, speaking in hindi and start thinking of themselves as a super power!!! All this shows immaturity of indians and how easily they can be taken for a ride.
We do not need UN's certiicate to be a golbal power, but we need to change desi's who are willin to sell India's power for money. Case in point: Succesive PM's have stopped India's nuclear prgram under US influence , with the exception of Vajpayee.
As long as we will have people who will sell India's rights for money, India cannot be a global power, even though we potentially can be even bigger than China.
Imagine what will people like Pranab or Patel or Chibambaran or Lalu or Raja or Manmohan can do to further India's interests? Nothing except sell India, down the drain of history.

have you seen the face of corruption in India and selective use of stick and EC rigging. everyone in world knows except indians.
I think Lisa has done an assessment of Obama's india visit in terms of Pakistan. What she has not recognised that India has moved on and already discussing increasing business opportunites in east Asia, Africa and how to contain China's assertive foreing policy.
It is all but obvious that the US has no intention of pushing India at the UNSC. The verbal support to this end earned a lot of goodwill that the US can bank upon for sale of arms and job creation at home. Only Indians can put stock in the vain rhetoric which has no substance.
Even this was not there some years back. Now this is not made in the case of China for South China sea or Yellow Sea or East China Sea. So no need to worry about this now.
His main purpose, right from day one, was to nudge India to open its economy and make room for american companies to do business in India. Another purpose was to drop a few feelers to find possibilities for putting some cracks in china-pakistan nexus, using India. The rest was just sweet talk. If Indian polliticians are so gullible, and have rosy glasses on their eyes, its a fault of none other, but their own.
