Respect the sentiment of the host country
by Vishvaksenah E on Nov 02, 2010 11:10 AM

It will be good if President Barack Husein Obama and the First Lady of USA- Michelle Obama respect the sentiment of the majority community of the country where they are in during their visit.
It will be good if they visit Siddi Vinayaka temple or Harekrishna Temple or Mumbadevi temple or any other shrine which has its moorings in India.
This will show the pluralistic nature of the great country called United States of America.

They say God is everywhere but still when it comes to Sunday they do need a Church to pray. Is it not enough that they stay at home and pray?

It is the sacredness of the place that matters. Why not study at home than going to school? for a reason. why not shyt in the dining room , why go to toilet? for some reason.

Obama - is he a Christian ?
by akshaya deshpande on Nov 02, 2010 10:25 AM  | Hide replies

Whether he attends a church in India or no, he needs to follow the Christian values on which his country the US was founded, and because of which the US reached the position of the greatest power in the world. US was always the first nation to extend huge and generous help to any country suffering from natural calamities. If Obama follows those values and gives up supporting Islam directly (Cordoba centre) and indirectly, he will save his country, which, otherwise, is bound to be destroyed from within by those who did 9/11

"Secular" doesn`t really mean something desirable. One must have religious values deeply inculcated on one self to live peaceably with the world. Secularism in its correct meaning is not desirable. Let Obama go to a church of his choice.

Be bold and declare yourself
by Arun George on Nov 02, 2010 10:19 AM  | Hide replies

Hi father is a Muslim. Does that not make him a Muslim? He instinctively supported builing a mosque near 9/11 site. Israel is also highly uncomfortable with him. I am not stating that all these are wrong, but Barack HUSSEIN Obama should come out of the closet and stop fooling American people about his faith.

What are you Arun a hindu or George a christian? You dont seem to understand that religion is of choice of individual and not that of parenthood just like you or your for fathers have converted from hinduism to christianity, but still keep confusing people with mixed names

You are using the term 'conversion' in wrong context. You don't understand Indian history and Christianity in India, hence you are confused. Chrstianity in India is as old as Chrstianity in Europe or elsewhere. Do you call a European "converted"?
