This way you are only giving into Maoist aim. Instead of fighting them from top to bottom, you are going back from the top. Chidu is nothing but a coward and talking big in the media. Come up talking is not enough and do something as people have elected you for safegaurd them not for getting killed by the terrorists and maoist. Rising of maoist is a problem of your precedecssors as they have not taken timely action to crush them. And chidu is only talking & talking, go ahead and call the army as they will not understand the language to talk, they need bullet only, don't you know they have 65 strike of killing and you had non in past one year.

Great congress???

Any insane will vote this party which is a bunch of looters.

The Congress led UPA 2 has turned us into refugees in our own country. What more can be evidence of the weakening writ of the government in these areas? The day is not far when the writ of these outlaws will extend to Kolkata and Hyderabad. But we must remain disinterested. It is afterall, we the people of India, who have re-elected this inept government to govern us, and so amply deserve to be treated like condemned refugees. Jai Ho!!!! And we are great 'sickularists'- we pride ourselves on that and do not value our lives or that ofour kith and kin!!

How it can be cost cutting? Railways have invested thosands of crores in the infra structure. There will be heavy loss if no revenue accrues.

This is the height of stupidity by Kangress Govt
by Pat Thakur on May 30, 2010 09:05 AM

Whatever ill is happening nowadays is the result of seeds sowed from the time of Britsh Rule by ass-licking Kangress. With utter disregard for national interest and concerned only about self interest, the short-sighted Kangres has screwed India and sold it to the dogs. That's the naked truth.

Why stop only at night time, stop in the days also
by Parth Mehta on May 30, 2010 08:15 AM

This is a ridiculous decision taken by the Railway Ministry and Mamta Banerjee. We all can understand that it is impossible to guard the railway tracks constantly but if Maoist want to derail the trains, they can do it in the daytime too. Was this decision taken assuming trains won't be derailed in the day time? Just a few days back, Mamta Banerjee was not even ready to accept that there are Maoist in West Bengal and now she is playing politics with the useless CPI-M. The least Congress party can do at this time is to at least speak in one voice and have a consensus to tackle this problem with heavy hand. If Military needs to be used to smoke the Maoist out of their holes, so be it. If Government can use air power to rescue the wounded, why can't they use it to target Maoists. It is highly overdue and the need of the hour is to ignore the intellectual idiots and fight the war. All these intellectuals do is, they romanticize the Maoists and justify their attacks on policemen and CRPF as if two separate countries are at war. If there is an armed insurgency, the state has a full right to neutralize the insurgents. Is the life of a soldier who is fighting for a state cheaper than the life of a Maoist who is fighting to overthrow democratically elected state power? It is high time to end the debate whether Maoist should be called terrorists or misguided ideologues. Have a clear strategy, ignore the idiots, fight the war and tackle the issue with guts. Don't run away from it.

Role of Indian defence forces!
by Reality Check on May 30, 2010 08:07 AM

It has been promoted to the role of an NGO where it helps disaster victims rather than protecting the security of the nation! Army should be renamed "Shanti" and be declared an NGO. Navy can get into shipping business and airforce can be helpful in introducing low-cost carriers. They are unfit for defending the nation anymore!
