One rule in nature is that of heards mentality . Heards stay together because of insecurity . The DOG keep them together . Congress party is like that . Gnadhis are DOGS who provide security of getting elected and indian masses are illeterate heards who vote for them for the spudo security . People of India has to wait for a very long time to achieve the real freedom , there are more dynasty to pass. Some time I think the people who sacrifice their lives gone in vain.
The family is not known for the kind of right pragmatism that's needed at each point when the nation and society is at cross roads in its journey.
1) Nehru's time - Domestic issues like Primary Education and Public Health care suffered. 2) Not able to settle the border issue with China.
Indira Ghandhi- 1) Not taking border issues with China. 2) Too much reliance on Soviet union. 3) Reducing the Congress party as family fiefdom. 4)Emergency declaration. 5)Promotion of Brindan walle and consequent Sikh Riots after her Assasiantion.
Rajiv gandhi- 1) Shah bano case 2) Openings the lock of Ram temple at ayodhya. 3)Misgiuded Involvement in Sri lankan Ethnic conflict. 4) Mishandling of Bofors case. 5) Neglect of Primary Education and Public Health care.
Dr Guha is a historian to the core. Therefore, doesnt have the knowledge of the present. He claims there is no muslim minister in the present BJP government. Being from Karnataka, if he doesnt know about the present government, what will he know about the entire country??? I just hope he knows things about himself compared to what he knows about the congress.

Different spheres of life need different sorts of intelligences.Intelligent in one area may not succeed in others. Would Mahatma have shined and succeeded as a business man or actor? Politically intelligent people would put nations interest first, not their families' as do Karunanidhi, Mulayam, Deve Gowda,Lalu so on.Intelligent leaders think differently from the sheepish politicians,act with courage, readily sacrifice, change the course of national history for the better like Chanakya,Ashoka,Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel in India, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in US, Gorbachav in former USSR,Nelson Mandela in S Africa all of whom did not groom and impose their children and relatives as leaders on the nation nor promoted family business under political cover. There is not a single intelligent political leader in India today who instead of playing divisive vote bank politics can promote integrative politics; meet different well respected and accepted religious leaders to evolve religius consensus thru aparliament of religions , weed out bogus Gurus;would not depend on corrupt political workers who can be blackmailed via CBI to provide support. The social valus of current leaders equal that of sanitary napkins, use them once only and throw them away otherwise they breed harmful microbes.Their resting place is septic tanks not acres of precious land for samadhi in Delhi and security guards to watch them.

Nehru and Gandhi were not perfect but were definitely not rascals. They were visionaries. India's survival when many others have failed proves it. But we should stop deifying them. Recall the re-assessment of Mao by China. We should be objective about our history. Don't play down or exaggerate anyone's role.
