If one reads Gandhi's autobiography one gets the feeling that he had nothing great to be called a Mahatma. He only talks about his numerous expriments with Dietary methods, Celibecy etc. His performance as a barrister was so dismal (according to him) that he hardly succeeded as a lawyer. His treatment of Kasturba was a perfect case of domestic violence and would qualify for human rights abuse. He treated his children with utmost disgrace and denied them modern education, result of which was that his son (Harilal) became a anti-social. Gandhi enjoyed a lavish life style when he was in S. Africa or until he 'became' Mahatma. He used to earn about 15,000 pounds a year during 1890s which is high even at today's standards! Gandhi was never a votary for complete freedom from the British and was always loyal to the British throne. Gandhi called the freedom figters such as Bhagat Singh and Azad terrorists and he was completely against Subhash Bose. To top it all it was Gandhi who started Muslim appeasement in India which has been carried on by the great Congresswallas for votes. It was the British who made him an icon to delay freedom to India and used him as a defense against surging uprising of the armed forces against the British rule. Paid / Sychophant historians such as Guha etc. twisted history and fed trash to Indians afterwards to give Gandhi larger than life size image which helped Congress rarner votes for decades.

A GOOD ALTERNATE ANALYSIS. AN HEALTY WAY IN A DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM. NO PERSON / FAMILY IS ABOVE THE NATION AND PEOPLE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK SHAMAN.

Books can be understood, and over understood and misunderstood.. commom sense cannot be..
Why dont you try out this theories of non voilence in real life?
Why doesn't India try out this theories of non voilence in real life and remove the Defense forces in India?
theories of Ahimsa and Non Voilence can be used to confuse people, win awards, write books and make movies..
unfortunately real life is different.. Many people refuse to see reality and ejoy living in Impractical dreams

Whats new about it ? I do not remember anybody claimed that Raul was/is intelligent. His occasional utterings prove that he may a thousand years to understand India and politics. BTW, this man Guha acts / speaks / writes like a paid servant of Gandhi family. And he is being projected as 'historian'!...
guhu says that Sonia is not corrupt..?? really..Guhu chooses what to discuss...why don't you discuss Bofors scam..was'nt that italian man had connections with Maino family..?? Manmohan is a puppet in the hands of Sonia..and also he is very weak PM..and BTW why is Guha given space..to promote congressism..
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi shouldn't be even compared to the Kashmiri elite Nehru or his progeny, the pseudo-Garamchand Ghaandiys who have been in power after him.
