Pakisthan
by Venkatesh Sekhar on May 04, 2010 08:03 PM

All said and done people in Parkisthan were like our brothers and sisters. Just because of few cunning Britishers, few greedy Muslims and few others (not to be mentioned) this partition happened.

From then on Pakisthan has marshalled all their human (in the name of Jihadis), Money (funding the terrorists), Knowledge (mostly used for destructive purpose) and all other resources in one single direction "Hatredness against India".

Today thier economy is in such a pathetic condition that they cannot afford to any development work. But still they are using the money given by US as arms (proceeds out of begging) for buying arms (weapons).

Its not too far that they have to litrelly beg for their day to day living. God only can save that country and our old friends from collapsing.

Kasab has been found guilty and will be convicted. He was given a fair trial in India, as per the law of the land.

Most likely he will be awarded the death sentence, by the honorable court.

Let’s not forget that he along with nine other was already awarded the death sentence by Lakhwai and gang, under the continual wink winks of the Pakistani state.

A just, secular, liberal and democratic India granted Kasab an opportunity to defend himself and prove his innocence. The very values, that Kasab and his handlers and the patrons of his handlers can not stand India possessing.

Today when we point out that Pakistan should take actions against the perpetuators of Mumbai attack, who have sanctuary in Pakistan; they show us their body counts. They claim that they face terrorist attack everyday and are doing the best.

No denying the fact that Pakistan faces terrorism. Poetic justice one may say. But fact remains that innocents are being killed in Pakistan. Innocents have been killed in India based on the same ideology.

Strategic assets have turned into strategic burdens for Pakistan. Yet, Pakistan refuses to reign in the anti-Indian Lashkars and Talibans.

At the risk of being a failed state, isn’t this a vey high price that Pakistan is paying just to keep hitting India, once in a while? I would like to ask every Pakistani. Is it really worth Pakistan????

Probably, after every 1000 messages, nevertheless, it is nice to hear a sane voice among the blood-thirsty mob. :-)

The irony of being Pakistan is that without India, it is nothing. It was carved out of India. Its history is the history of India. Its very existence is a sectarian response to India's plurality. Its culture, art and everything else that edifies it comes out of the idea of India. Beginning from Prithvi Raj Chouhan, (and even much much earlier), and through the times to Bhagat Singh, to Gandhi, and Lord Mountbatten, they all belong to both Pakistan and India. So what separates them? Their religious identity. But most unfortunately, (and it is particularly galling in the context) here too, Pakistan does not score. India has more muslims than Pakistan :-)

What can a nearly failed state do to prop up its pathetic birth and existence? Keep hitting India. As you rightly asked, is it really worth Pakistan? This is something that every Pakistani must ask himself over and over and over again.

Its nice to hear and read all these. But hope in all this a practical point is not missed. Look, its not just Pakistan which is in turmoil with terrorism. Terrorism is a common feature of all most all Islamic countries, in various degress. Else leave backward states like Bangladesh and Pak, how can u ever explain the jehadi terrorism of the U.S born, U.S bred educated Muslims ? So the real problem is not just Pakistan. Its the religion. However much we might want to push it under the carpet to show that we are a secular nation, the fact remains that when in a majority they have only practiced religious extremism. Even in India, had they been a majority, we would not have been any better than Pakistan. Look at Kashmir which has an Indian state Govt. Is it any better than Pakistan ? Look at even some of the Russian states like Chechenya, and u know where the problem lies. The fact that we have more Muslims than Pakistan should worry us more. Bcos when the ultra modern Western culture could not change the basic Muslim mindset in U.S,how much u think will the Indian born Muslim mindset change ? Ya, agree not all Muslims are terrorists or jehadis. But what about most terrorists or jehadis ? Just wait for our demography to change, & so will the mindset and demands of the Muslims here. Its a bitter fact, whatever 'secularist' school of thought might like to say....

You really think Pakistan is the enemy. No dude. Its the Islamic world which is at war with Non Islamic world. Try looking from this perspective. US, France, UK, India, China , Canada etc are all in war with Islamic world because Islam wants to rule the world by capturing land

yes you are true.this is the war against non islamic world.whole muslim world is at war to capture the global land and make it islamic globe.but one thing is sure whatever they do whichever country they capture or destroy they cannot grab india .they cannot win india even the whole islamic world becomes united to fight against india.in fact they will get destroyed in the war they created against capturing india.because this land is not written in their destiny.this land was not written in the destiny of whoever the invadors before ruled india before.where are they now?.how many muslim rulers britishers invaded india but finally where they went.what happned their fate?.ultimately for whome this land went finally.ultimatley it went to the hands of hindus only.thye may win christian world but they cannot win hindustan forever.this is my challenge.you just see the history you will get the proof and you will get explanation whether its true or not.

Please come out of narrow thinking . Remember Indian muslims chose secular state over an islamic state. They are like us . We also chose to be secular rather than being a hindu country

They chose India because they can multiply, breed, and gradually capture India. Look at the population statistics and see. Had they left India, thy could have never captured India. Now they surely will

That is where we lost my dear friend. Religions survive on Land. Why do you think Muslims are against Israel, because Jews have got land and Muslims are finding it hard to re capture it. Why Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia all being Hindu dominant land is now Muslim dominant. It is because
* Muslims marry more and produce more children, where as other religions practice family planning
* Illegally immigrate into non muslim land
* Forcefully convert non muslims to muslims, read love Jihad.
* No muslims girl is allowed to marry outside their religion.
* Create terror so that people listen to their demands.
It has happened in France, Canada, now US, Kashmir and wait till it happens in UP, Bihar, Kerala, Assam.

This is disturbing
by Gaurav Lohiya on May 04, 2010 04:13 PM

I empathise with Mr Pant and really coincide with his thoughts. It is a matter of question and debate why our political will is lacking on such a grave matter?

We as citizens of this nation have "right to LIFE" which is constantly threatened by such heinous acts of violence.

I as a tax-paying citizen of India am ready to give 2% more tax in the name of Anti-terrorism initiatives. But, I want to see things happening at the grass-root level. Why public places in India are not under 24x7 CCTV survellience? Why our bus, taxi and train stations have no or very loose security?

I as a citizen of this country is willing to pay for all such things and still the Government is not taking any action, that is really disgusting and infuriating.

Mr. Pant, you as a part of media, voice of people, can raise the voice at the correct forums... Now the question is "Will you?"...

Dr. Pant, while being very analytical, I can't exclaim at you concluding para! That is wonderfully described and as a matter of fact should catch the eye of some so called political echelons sitting in the government for introspection. Brilliant!

we have become a joke all over the world due to our soft approach to terrorism per se and our age old judiciary system.

Look at the rate of crime, corruption happening in the country due to an judiciary system that belongs to a bullock cart speed.

There is nothing that in todays context any Indian would feel proud about the verdict!!

maturity or mockery?
by miviu on May 04, 2010 02:25 PM  | Hide replies

What kind of maturity has indian gov has shown... hundreds of innocents were killed by terrorists, inspite of having all evidences it took 17 months give verdict.. and still there is no hope that this bstd will be hanged to death within a year. Moreover we always have politicians who are more dangerous than terrorists ... we cannot talk about maturity, justice delayed is justice denied... it is also possible Kasab will lead another few years of happy life in Indian jails.

Regarding this case what congress is doing is perfect, how can you hang someone without knowing the real fact and without checking the proofs.

For your kind information we live in secular contry under secular government.

Why don't you people react like this regarding the matter of sadhvi and purohit.

The guy was out in open carrying gun and shooting in front of hundreds of people what more proof are you expecting ??

I wont answer your other question its for you to decide because the way the sadhvi and purohit have been treated is inhuman and unjust compared to others with similar crimes
