Only the Congress is fit to rule India.
by Suhas on Mar 24, 2010 09:53 PM  | Hide replies

The Indian National Congress was born of India's need to be free from foreign rule. It's guiding principles are based on a free and fair India. Hence it has always tried to accommodate every Indian within it's fold. The Congress loyalty is first to India, and then to everything else. As far as the Right is concerned, their principles certainly are good, but they are not inclusive. That certainly is not good for India. And their vision of India is not based on the concept of a modern state. They look on India conceptually as an natural extension of the primitive Aryan society. The Congress looks on it only as a historical extension of the primitive society. And since the Congress upstaged them to India's freedom struggle, they lost out on the opportunity. Hedgewar, founder of the RSS had termed the freedom struggle as merely 'reactionary'. But still, we need the Right in India. We need them to prevent modernization from going berserk. They should give up their hunger for power and play a guiding role, but without trying to impose any particular ideology. Their loyalties are never in doubt. As far as the left is concerned, their loyalties are first to China, then to Cuba, then to the former USSR, to former Bulgaria, former Romania, Vietnam, Cambodia, and last and the least, to India. We just don't need them. They are an accident that occurred somewhere in India's history. But they are on the wane, and we will all forget them.

What is the difference between a dictatorship and a democracy then? Are the opposition parties some sort of counsellors to advise the dictator how to run the country!

There is no Indian National Congress exist after 1947. Gandhiji called to abolish congress party which was formed only to fight for Independence of India. But Nehru (Englishman) did not agree as he wanted money and power). The so called congressi party now is a family party /property of Sonia/rajiv dynasty. No body is now in this party who faught for indepedence of India from Britishers.

@Hanif - Partition and Radicals
by Opinions on Mar 24, 2010 09:25 PM

Partition didn't create radicals. Radicals are born that way! Muslim League was created in 1907 or something and as a counter the RSS was created! The Muslim league could just not digest the idea of being with hindus and thats the reason behind the partition idea based on religion and the RSS responded the same way! And Nehru saw an opportunity here for leading India with hindu majority because the 2 power hungry mongers nehru and jinnah were neither religious nor orthodox but wanted to lead the nation. They were plain politicians who used the sentiment of people to get their ends met (but the "sentiment" was genuine not propogated by the british or nehru or jinnah but these leagues)! So, partition didnt create these radicals but they were very much inherent in the system! Even if india was undivided, there is no way to counter these radicals! India having lesser radical muslims during that time itself could not help but succumb to the incorporating the muslim laws in the judiciary! How could the Indians have handled the more hardcore radicals in the league who would have demanded a bigger pound of muslim flesh? And remember even the reaction of Nizams during the partition where they were forced to flee to pakistan because of their attrocities towards hindus or other religous sects! Now, imagine this radical set in mammoth proportions without the partition!

All respect to Sonia

I am not a congress Fan, nor of the Nehru clan. But I cannot but show my admiration for Sonia. Her whole life has been a matter of adjustment, which she did most admirably. Had Rajiv been alive, she would have just remained a gracious hostess for the Prime Minister. But after his death, her demeanour has been exemplary, as befitting for a Hindu widow. It is only the Congress bigwigs, who needed a aanchal to take shelter in, forced her to come out and head the party , which part also she is exemplarily doing. If India or the Congress party is stable, it is due to Sonia. All the best to her

This CONs infected nation will then suffer 4th Generation prime minister from the same family.
That would be sort of record for a democratic country.

And, I would also like to add one more statement, that she is surrounded by $coundrels in the Congress party.

I don't think, she is that bad, but our dear politicians from the ruling, as well as opposition, have made her like that.

If your wife has a $ 5 billion bank balance, is guaranteed ruling the country (either direct or as a proxy) and who will never be pinpointed for wron doings and having undying loyalty from the people around her (family friends colleagues etc), will she lead a sad widowed life or a content filled widowed life?

that depends on the morals. Morals preached and practiced by 'Fathers' are pretty intersting...sadly indian media block them wholesale.
The juicy stories of Western priests buggerng everyone within their reach are staple newss and even Pope is involved in scandal.

Exactly. So, what sonia is doing is not a sacrosanct stuff but a plain political stuff which everyone is doing! Real sacrosanct stuff is to stay away from politics which widows of dignified and cultured families do! They mind their own business. She got in just like a phoolan devi or a mayawati! Whats the difference? Mayawati in fact, her supporters say, has not even married and dedicated herself totally to the dalit cause! You cn define morality based on convenience. So, lets not make the politics as a moral game and sonia being the flagship holder of morality!
