I wonder how Mr. Guha is mis-using English. Had Congress and specifically Nehru been really inclusive, neither India would have seen partition, nor Mondal reservations or our own brothers & sisters on hills going the mao's way. It is all the consequence of the trends of elitist rule of Nehru & Congress had carried over 5 decades.

Lack of inclusiveness is not the only reason behind the ills you have mentioned. So you can't say the Congress was not inclusive merely on the basis of these.

Have you read history? The partition was inevitable. It was asked for by Jinnah. The country would have been in greater peril otherwise. BTW, do you know that when Nehru and others were giving the mid-night freedom speech, Gandhi was touring Calcutta trying to pacify communal violence which had originated from partition

thats nonsense mr haq...Muslims will break up all societies they live in that is the nature of Islam..Congress or Nehru has nothign to do with that part..even Arab Muslims dont live together with arab christians in Lebanon..Muslims want to break up Cyprus, Kosovo, Philippines, Thailand, Burma and indeed even England !!! be brave and accept the truth..Islamic theology doesnt allow Muslims to live with any one on equal terms at all.

Poor haq. So many criticism. He actually tried to blame Nheru, because it is a BJP's pet subject to blame Nheru for the partition of India. But is it not a good thing ? immagine, if India had not been partioned in 1947, what will be the situation today with all the Jehadis Mullahs, fanatics arround? Thanks god, India had been partioned.
