so sad
by Rajalakshmi on Mar 03, 2010 05:51 PM

It is indeed sad that the pilots have lost their lives and others r injured.

Even in the Mumbai blast case constable Tukaram's station did not have proper arms and the shaheed had to catch Kasab with lathis. Even the bulletproof jacket of Karkare and others have raised many questions.

When our politicians are looting so much from us Public and ENJOYING life why can't money be spent on our security.....why the hesitation in such expenditure whereaS salary/allowance increase of MPs is PASSED immediately and silently without any thought....

FYI..India had captured Lahore during 1971..because of Late Indira Gandhi gave these b@ggers another chance else today all Ali,Yakub,Mehmood,Mohammed ,etc would have been servants washing dishes,Bathrooms,Toilets and clothes in our homes..PORKISTAN would have been history by now

India Wake Up
by The Democracy on Mar 03, 2010 05:27 PM

It's a shame that our pilots are killed repeatedly in aircraft crashes. And the officials do nothing except expressing their sorrow for a few minutes after each crash.

When an aircraft crashes we don't only lose trained pilots, we lose civilians. Also, we lose real estate and the expensive aircraft.

Regular Crashes: India has been buying MIG from Russia for ages though it killed our numerous pilots. Russia being a bribe driven country pays crores of commissions to our ministers who pass the orders for MIGs.

Current Crash: Is Kiran MK-II our technological excellence? It was not fighting any war; It crashed in a show!! Shame on our technology?

What it could be in case of war: If this aircraft crashed during war, none would know it crashed because of junk aircraft. Everyone would say, those pilots died in a plane crash trying to save our country!

Our engineers: Our govt is wasting crores of public money on IITs (the top technological institutes in India? or Just hype created by media?) in hope to produce quality engineers. And those guys, fly to abroad just after graduation, and settle in a foreign country. Most IIT graduates are unfruitful, greedy and unhuman waste products. Why waste our tax money on them if they can not build a simple aircraft?

(And I know some IIT guy will come here to bark on my post and then claim they are not from IIT)

Hope Indian officials take good steps to improve things so that we don't lose any of our pilots again.

Both the parachutes went dead
by Nani on Mar 03, 2010 05:26 PM

TV reports say that the parachutes of both the pilots were not working. Did not the maintenance crew check the usability of them before the show ? How callous and lethargic.
Such air-shows should not be held in a densly populated areas.
Bangalore also hosts one (near Yelhanka) every year which has 3 villages, 2 quarries and a big educational institution nearby.

Why in residential area
by Venkatarajan Subramonian on Mar 03, 2010 05:19 PM

This is really horrible....why are they holding air show in densely populated areas? The plane crashed into a building and the people inside were injured. Who is responsible for their life and property? They will just wash off theor hands saying it is an accident. But who is suffering?
how can the govt hold airshows in such places? Are they going to do something about this or not?

Today because of Govt. apathy, there are delays in training aircrafts' purchase. The Kirans were used perhaps for training and overused.

Painful air show
by DrBhanwarSinghRana on Mar 03, 2010 05:11 PM

Very sad to hear the air crash and peace time loss of brave pilots. Forces should give serious thought A to Z air caft maintenance and training of pilots and ensure zero toltrance to pilot and crafts losses.
