Asif Bhai, dont knwo what you mean. Even today, all countries and people of the world do not support the US, at least not blindly. They are a painfully over-bearing, opinionated, moralizing, double-dealing, super-power, but hey, they;re the best we got.

If you want to see real terror, wait till China (god forbid) becomes the policeman of the world and if teh US loses the gumption to fight China (which has almost happened). The dragon is not going to rise peacefully!

Given a choice, I would sup with the US anyday! :-)

Asif, know that people of all nations live as immigrants in the USA, so if things happen as per your dumb wish, then these people will rise ag their own erstwhile nations.

Forget what u have said for all those are dreams. The US will always find itself supported by Europe, Israel, Russia, India, Australia and NZ and most of Asia and Africa as well.

China is not a gora! :-)

Anyway, disagree with you. Hs=istory shows, there can only be one superpower. The cold war was an aberration and in any case, the USSR was not as strong, was a chimera. My gut feel is, CHina will be the new USSR (not that strong internally and institutionally).

Your allussion to the "minority community" making the world a dangerous place, has already happened (didnt need help from the US for that).

Actually, no. Impoverished, helpless neighbors are just fine. They will not have the money to weaponize.

You can't take the slum out of the minds of Pakistanis. Even if you put them in paradise, they will turn it into a slum.

history says that people who fight amongst themselves are conquered by others....Afghanistan is conquered cos Pakhtuns, Hazaras,Tajiks and Uzbeks were constantly gighting amongst themselves....Your solidarity is probably biased but I wont go onto that..
anyway lets get realistic here....who would save Afghanistan ...Pakistan or Karzai

history says pashtuns get screwed by anyone who uses their head. from the time of maharaja ranjit singh to US they have always been screwed. The attackers dont stay there because it is not worth it. Uninhabitable , dry devoid of civility. Afghans on their own are sitting ducks. India and world has march way ahead from the times of ghazni and ghori

US and Afghanistan
by Loan Ranger on Jun 22, 2010 11:06 AM

The US is really stupid in Afghanistan. It would not have dared to "convert" China to its version of democracy, so how does it dar to do that in Afghanistan? Anyway, it has to foot the bill, running into hundreds of billions of dollars. ..that's why China can afford to sit back and laugh. Even the Karzai govt is laughing all the way to the Bank.

split Afghanistan
by abc xyz on Jun 22, 2010 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

if a country cannot exist as one with various ethnicity it is better to split the country for the sake of its own ppl and for regional peace. Afghan was never stable in its entire history, the majority pasthuns have always weighted there rule on other minorities in afghan, splitting the country would be good.

Mr.Confused:
Please be advised that the Indian wishes of US leaving Afghanisthan and handing over it to the regional super power while dismantling its neighbour into Sindh,Punjab Baluch etc. is a nice script for a Hindi movie.May be the author should write a script for an Indian Rambo who goes to Afghanisthan and takes over the regime there in sweet revenge of Babur's invasion of Delhi centuries back and on the way annexing the Pak with India.
