Narendra Modi’shedding crocodile tears’ on the Bhopal gas leak tragedy when his government had inked an agreement with Dow Chemicals (formerly Union Carbide, responsible for the leak) in April 2008.
Shaktisinh Gohil, leader of the opposition in the Gujarat Vidhan Sabha, Monday released a copy of the letter dated Oct 1, 2008 in which the company had mentioned that it had signed an MOU with the state public sector, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited, in April 2008. The MOU was signed by Chief Minister Modi. n a letter addressed to then union finance minister P. Chidambaram, has said that it has signed an MOU with Gujarat and the deal would bring money to the state.

know your facts arun, DOW is not formerly Union Carbide, DOW has purchased a company called union carbide. Your logic is like holding 'Mahindra' responsible for satyam scam. India is going to dogs because of illogical and ill-informed people like you who are incompetent

Lakshman, These fellows like arunkumar dont care a hoot for tragedy victims. Now that Congress is in deep s**t on this crisis, all they want to do is to drag BJP into the mess by hook or crook. Another fellow was barking that NDA did not do anything in their 6 years of rule to bring Anderson back... !!!!

There is nothing wrong in signing technical agreement with DOW which is one of the most innovative chemical company in the world The Govt has already given almost RS 1000 CRORES OF COMPENSATION to victims It is a pity that instead of distributing the money to victims it was mispropriated by congress politicians ruling the state at that time Why the central and state govts have not constructed even a proper hospital for treatmenh of gas affected people

Not only ruling party, but all political parties are funded by MNCs.
In India all politicians, businessmen/industrialists and corporates, mediamen, cricketers and film stars are fully funded by MNCs.
The entire blame for Bhopal tragedy lies with then congress Govt at centre and MP state Quiet possible that top politiciens at both places made deal with union carbide

Bycott all DOW products in India to pay homage to Bhopal Tragedy affected people
In the electronic media it is seen that Congress is splashing a letter/secret agt. between Gujarat Govt. and Dow in 2007 which bought the UCCL the Co.which caused tragedy and showcasing that Mr.N.Modi is responsible for this ignoring the Court case etc., If the Congress knows this as a lapse what action it took since 2007? Why it did not make it public? From the facts of this it is otherway round. Govt. of India Under UPA I was responsible for this lapse enabling DOW to have business in India.
The question is that Govts both state as well as center have not acted rightly to take care of sufferings as we say this was an accident. The responsible for the accident are our casual approach, neglegence of safety norms even today, people on the ground and probably lack of knowledge about the material being handled what havoc this can play. We don't understand why media is behind only Anderson at this age of him when he is very-2 old now?
Dow is having its Chemical R&D center in the most densly populated area in Pune.
Its address it, Panchasheel Tech park, Near Don Bosko School, Off airport Road. Places like yerwada, Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar are the ones near to it.

You might be wrong. For all the reasons best known to the Judges and the impotent Indian Government, taking inflation into consideration, the sentence will be definitely not more than 8 months!!!!!
