by Rajendra on Jul 26, 2010 09:12 AM  | Hide replies

Today is Kargil Vijay Divas, But… we lost some of our most valuable, great, brave, warrior BROTHERS.

I SALUTE to all those who have pledged their lives, for our PEACE - JAI HIND

527 Indian Army soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice to uphold the honor and integrity of the Union of India! The fact that this was acknowleged to be one of the brutal wars owing to the terrain in which was fought should make us all the more proud of the sacrifices of these men! Jai Jawan, Jai Indian Army!

China is slowly but surely getting under the scanner. The world is already a dangerous place and with this deal, doomsday scenario is not far away. This will have a large American base permanently settled in Afghanistan. Sooner or later there will be clashes of the unkindly type. China is shooting itself in the foot if one can understand what I am getting at. Pakistan is slowly but surely becoming a slave to China and distancing itself from US. This is a awin win situation for India.

Dont ever think that US is a stable friend to rely on my friend. They did what they wanted and needed to do at the specific time.

Simple example. They talk about al Qaida as a terrorist organization, not LeT, because they are not victims of LeT yet, but India has been a huge victim. US doesnt make any statements against LeT. If they were true friends of India, wouldnt they influence Pak to act against LeT. So you talking about a win-win situation for India by the increasing distance of US from Pakistan may not really materialize. Yes. Any more nuclear availability to Pak is a huge global threat. But I dont think having a permanent US base in Afghan is an economically viable option for them. They want to packup fast and go back home. They have screwed up the whole region with their presence pursuing the wrong locations and attacking the soft-targets.

China is doing what it believes will make them seen as a super-power in global equation, be it by opposing what US has to say. It is seeing it as an economic deal rather than a global security issue. And then they want some presence on the India's western borders as well. They want to strangulate with an all out war on both the borders at one shot. India can ill-afford a simultaneous war on both borders. With this deal, China and Pakistan are stamping their military friendship thereby sending a signal to India not to act tough with either of them. India is eventual loser in this deal, no one else.

If you read in depth the '62 war with China, the conclusion I would draw is that they are least bothered about India. It is our grave mistake in understanding them and then going in for an instigated war. Things of course have changed today and China is economically very sound and a world leader. They will not jeopardize their future with a nuclear armed India. Fact of the matter is though it appears large and modern, the thinking style there is old and more mature than in Pakistan. China's main concern today is its many border disputes namely,
•The whole of Mongolia, now an independent republic;
•The Russian autonomous republic of Tannu-Tuva, called tannu Uriankhai by the RoC;
•A large part of Tajikistan, namely most of its autonomous province of Gorno-Badakhshan;
•A tiny sliver of Afghanistan’s Pamir corridor;
•Small areas of northern Pakistan and areas claimed by India;
•The eastern part of the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan;
•Parts of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh;
•Parts of northern Myanmar (Birma);
•And a small piece of Russian-administered territory on China’s northeastern border.
Then there is USA meddling in their neighborhood and that’s something you cannot imagine unless you are in China's shoes. USA is here to eavesdrops on all terror networks, getting a foothold on resources,

Then there is USA meddling in their neighborhood and that’s something you cannot imagine unless you are in China's shoes. USA is here to eavesdrops on all terror networks, getting a foothold on resources, watch on China's buildup in military hardware, keeping a tab on Russia and India etc etc. India in reality gets a lot of breathing time… say upto 2018 to really build up its infra structure and military. We have to play our cards well and USA will oblige.

to all of you who write here and there and below...I know we have plenty of big thoughts...but see..

First of All who are we going to attack? Non.

Why?

Becoz.our govt.whatever you say is already infilltraded by propaki people who want to unite both and take over the administration. Our ruling party does not mind as long as a Gandhi is there with regular team and gangs.

Wouldnt have they solved Kashmir as Sardar Patel would have ? but no, they wouldnt, becoz. our muslim brothers dont like it that way.

Then come the commies who are more in favour of China than India. So they will force various Ind.govts not to resist China.

So, why spend billions on armaments we dont have the will to use?

ARMS DECORATES and LOOK GOOD IN THE BRAVES,UNITED AND DIGNIFIED PEOPLE WHO HAVE NATIONAL CHARACTER and not in the Hands of cowards blah,blah people who are not ready so sacrifice.

You porki in disguise, we don't want your certificate of character,bravery and unity.
When Bangaladesh was formed your unity vanished in to dust. nNow baluch no longer want to be in your dirty and hate based country. Soon I personally feel that baluch,sindhis will take their struggle for independence to its logical conclusion.
Now comming to your certificate on bravery;it must be the biggest joke of all time.In kargil your coward army ran like rats,while our brave Indian army climbed up the mountains and defeated you.
In 1971 ,one lakh of your coward army soilders surrenedred like rats.So you don't teach bravery to us.
Now comming to your sermon on character,we have stood up the test of time and have shown better character than your. Your nation has the higgest number of hits on pron sites. You please don't give us lectures on character after such a pathetic record.

One US lawmakers have said some stuff.... and we are beliving it. We Indians should not get decieved by all these tatices. Its not by US govt. Its all (in my view) the news to cover the aid pak have recieved from US. We should strongly build ties with China and then tackle the other issues.

Mohammed, you are right in that we should be careful and look affter our interests. At the same time, we should not forget that the US is not deceptive like China and Pak have been. They can be selfish but not deceptive. It is that much more difficult to build ties with China (although we should like you say) because of their territorial designs and military ambitions. In contrast we share a lot of our values with the US and it's easier to align with them.

Well said! We should not be under the illusion that US is our friend and will come to our rescue should a need srises as every country has its own political agenda. As regards to China, they will always consider us as their enemy and will never forgive us for our support to Tibet issue. As you said we should horn our skill and become self depetendent in our defence needs since only might is respected in the present international scenerio.

Plz don't be so impatient. The country which have not the capacity to run a war for even a week, how can it dare to object to China: "Sir, pleeez do not sell your nuclear technology, plz sir ,plz.". And China will spurn it. China (like our hypocrite leaders) has been doing so covertedly long since -- now only in an overted way by Champagne cheering. U've been got up by this news.....Rather dip into urself, u'll get the answer.
