Kashmir and other so called Disputes might be all bogus.

It could even be a joint war, with Indian and Pak influential people having agreed long ago to have a permanent state of war, all for unannounced motives.

There could even be an honest motive behind it, to keep powers like US and China away from direct interference in internal affairs of India and Pak, by creating an artificial state of war that keeps the powers busy, like a distraction to keep the Child from hankering for a more expensive Toy, etc...

Speculation has no end to it...

Some of it could be true, though.

It is sad that we are cutting the stomach of our people to pay the manufacturers crores for these toys. This money if utilized properly can make the life of many citizens much more comfortable. A serious rethink is required before we spend so much. antony is a clean politicians but still many others are eyeing kickbacks from these deals. If 450 million poors cant live a life of dignity then its better to die once (if a war ever happens) than dying everyday coz of hunger sanitation other other petty causes.

If we do not do our Home Work then the punishment is to have to pay heavily to outsiders.

Genuine efforts to get self reliance and develop own technology, were always scuttled by petty beaureaucrats and politicians, who want to always have an excuse to buy Foreign, etc.

Today India is helpless and hopelessly dependent on outsiders.

Chinese were m,ore wise and have achieved total independence in technology, especially defence related one.

That is why China today is far more aggressive and independent in its policies, than any other Third world country.

In fact China is practically in First world now, if one sees the way they deal directly with First world without kow towing or paying obeisance like India and Pak are obliged to do.

Disunited social structures are responsible. Neither Indian nor Pak people have the courage to honestly reform their society, so their people will suffer indignity and deprivations for a long time.

What is the use of all this criticism if it does not change the Voting pattern?

In democracy all opinions must finally be expressed through the votes if they are to have any effect on policy.

Indians do not vote the bad politicians out, but prefer to elect them and at same time condemn them for low morals, etc.

Indians do not believe that it is possible to use their votes to change policies of their elected governments.

It is a strange democracy !!
