hi suppandi-
Son of India is a coward-Instead of fighting for his people bravely, he fled to India and became a baba. If he had stood up for his people in Tibet and sacrificed his life, many more would have inspired and Tibet would b free.

That is a typical abrahamic thinking and your barbarian minds filled with greed, anger, lust and fear will never understand the meaning of a pranam.

Your name confirms you are a Brahmin from Shankara Math.

Seeking his blessings is ok, but consistent with your family heritage, His Holiness would be looking for precepts of Dhanur Vidya to further the Tibetan cause, instead you also ask for his protection.

Sant Ramdas, the guru of Chatrapati Shivaji, has written that a good general knows when to retreat. To fight on and get decimated is not bravery, it is foolhardiness.

Besides, His Holiness those days was merely in teens. The decision to safeguard him and protect the holy institution was taken by those who ran the Tibetan administration then with due consultation with concerned Indian authorities.

The interpretation of Sant Ramdas would be :

To fight on and get decimated is not always bravery, it is sometimes foolhardiness. No disrespect to those who chose to fight against all odds and not retreat, while defending India in 1962 war is permissible.

The effort to judge by nice_guy, even if wrong, is a sound approach. We got to never hesitate to judge issues, persons, situations and with practice the judgement capability shall improve.

In Bharatiya Vidya this is called -- tarka-- and from tarka emanates nyaya. The path of unquestioned belief is likely to become wayward sooner or later, while assessment process is always amenable to heuristic correction.

Per Hindu thought, as His Holiness Dalai Lama has also indicated, there is an ideation of atma a.k.a soul. And Vedas says there is divinity in every soul.

To respect Guru for his learning, subject to tarka is surely good, but to put him on a pedestal on the basis of unquestioned faith is harmful. This kind of obsequious eulogy has corrupted many minds, seriously weakening our society, shunning it from the competitive processes which enabled Adi Shankar to reclaim Sanatana Dharma from Buddhist preponderance.

China and Pakistan are real enemy of India and Western Countries.
China supports NE militants in India.
China supports Pakistan, Iran, N. Korea with nukes.

China is illegally captured Tibet which is integral
part of India.
Indian claim on Tibet is right because Hindus holy place of Kailas mansarowar is in Tibet.
Also nearly all holy rivers of India originates
from Tibet.

India and western world should support Tibet, Taiwan, and East Turkistan freedom.

India must supply nuke to Taiwan and arms to Tibetans.
China do not have democracy hence support for such movements can break China in many peaces.

India with NATO countries have common enemy that is China.
Hence democratic powers of world must work together to tackle Chinese evil.

Similarly Pakistan is biggest supplier of terror in the world. Pakistan have all types of modern technology imported from China.

Truth of China
No democracy,
World highest human right violation
Many labor dies daily in coal mines
Minority musslims are tortured in Xinjiang
PPL in Tibet very angry.
ppl in Hongkong are very unsatified.
ppl in Taiwan already declared freedom.

The big question
by shivram adithya on Jul 06, 2010 01:48 PM  | Hide replies

Sometimes it is considered indecent to ask 'Who is going to continue your work after you'?

But we can't avoid it.

Who is going carry on with your good work after you? We need an answer.

Irony of communism
by shivram adithya on Jul 06, 2010 01:47 PM  | Hide replies

Marxism as a principle is very good trying to bring justice even to the lowest rank.

But in former USSR, China etc. the principle has helped to create suspicion; hatred; anxiety; less freedom of speech, religion etc.

In India, it has come to a stage where Working is against Communism; Hate Owners; Kill Entrepreneurs; Don't have any new ideas; Hate America; Whether I work or not - I have right to get salary, automatic promotion benefits etc.

I was in Australia for 2 years and havelot of chinese friends.

They are wonderful as a person. But if you ask any questions on Chinese politics, Communism, Tibet, Taiwan etc. They look around and will say in very soft voice 'No... No...' even if no one is there apart from us.
Some of them behave as if they touched a hot plate and look at us with suspicion as if I have asked them to share their army secrets.

Unfortunate people.
