My professional contacts with Australians over a 30 year plus period, as well as my official visits to Australia, have convinced me that Australians are profoundly racist. Racism in Australia starts at the airport itself and ends there as one leaves the country. They are the inheritors of a tradition when British racism was at its very height; nowhere was the genocide of natives as cruel and thorough as in Australia. While Britain has evolved, Australia has remained isolated from the mainstrean Europe and has stagnated.

Prisoners from England were transported to Australia many hunderds years ago and it is not fair to bring this up in the year 2010!!. We must be mindful these prisoners who werewere involved in petty crimes (stealing food etc) because of the economic conditions prevailing in England at that time, so bringing up the convict heritage is not the right thing to do. However, I do agree with the majority of my countrymen that Australia can be covertly racist in their attitutude towards immigrants especially against southern europeans/Asians and now from India. It is also true that a majority of the recent students from India are quite "suspect" ( I have heard them speak and they will certainly not get into any of the second rung educational institutes within India, therefore my conclusion is that they must be here in Australia for permanent residency not not to learn. However this is not the fault of the students, it is the Australian Federal Governments policy mistake. In 2005-06 the Australian economy was growing at a relatively high rate and the Federal government was anticipating skills shortage across a wide range ( from senior executives to low skilled workers) Many Indians especially students (aided by change to student visa rules) began to come into Australia and enrolled themselves into "suspect" colleges to learn cooking/hospitality etc just so that they can apply for permanent residency after 2 years study. Obviously they had to work to pay for their expenses..CONTINUED...

Continued..This meant that the students were willing to take up those jobs which were of high risk, and to do this, they had to work late nights & be exposed to the criminal elements within large cities/towns. India unfortunately cannot do anything other than create an awareness of the dangers of living/working in Australia for Indian students and also list out the precautions to these students who are planning to come here. Apart from this, what else can India do? Especially when young Indians are willing to pay $30,000-$40,000 to suspect colleges just to get into Australia and not to seriously study! However this fiasco in the immigration program will soon come to an end because of the recent changes enacted in the immigration Act...so hopefully Indians will not come here in such large numbers, and the existing Indian population will slowly integrate within the larger multi-cultural Australin community. Until then we all must be patient and allow the Australian justice system to work. I believe in the judiciary system here and quite confident the perpetrators of these violent crimes will face justice. My heart goes to the Indian mother who lost her son last week. Our prayers are with her.

As usual , our govt is not moving itself..one of the govt guys or MPs should get beaten up for them to wake up and take notice.. As to Australians...who needs them..they are dumb shits anyway,
