Just because you have the money , or just because you can satisfy a govt. quota, you need take up doctors or engg. degrees. College is a fun place to be, but not so much fun that it is a status symbol. There is no substitute to one's own ability and passion. Money is only a statistic in the end game.

What is shaming is not our skin colour, but that of Australia itself. There seems to be a disconnect between the govt. and the Australian youth. 1447 Indians targeted? That is an extremely high figure. If Australian govt thinks it is still aminor issue, all Indian students should [pack bags and come home, save all that money and do somthign elsewhere.
The unemployed youth of Austrialia , out of money, out of education, out of family love are like street urchins who are attacking other more comfortably placed individuals, in this case the Indians. Rich Indian parents have to use their "free" money in a better way, stop wasting it on their kids. Indians are going the British way, always show-off for their money.

This is not a good comment. The color of the skin depends usually on the climatic conditions where generations have lived. I am ashamed that people pass such comments without even thinking about what they are saying. Sexist and racist comments show how cultured or civilized the commentator is.

If you actually look at the names of the people who have been attacked, there is not a single Andhrite, Kannadiga, Tamilian or Keralite... What does that tell you...?
