PM's worry
by mandook on Dec 12, 2010 10:36 AM

He should be worried about scams in the Congress led regime, he should be worried about how the suppression of reality would cause harm to the nation, not about Parliament disfunctioning for which he and his party are responsible.

Silence is Golden or impotency or both?
by Gautam nil on Dec 12, 2010 10:27 AM

It is really nauseating to note about this "BOOK-WORM'S" so called principles viz., that 1) he is honest but would allow others to be dishonest, 2) he is a silent spectator to loots of public money of our nation to the tunes of multi crores and crores as a P.M., 3) his all principles are anti-poor, 4) his principles are pro-wealthy as "loves wealthy and rich" being a staunch admirer of US and many more that are reflecting his total negativity in attitude as proved by galloping poverty and corruption during his tenure right from his Finance Ministership, as confirmed by the world bank relating to poverty|
I am amazed at his basics on which he forms a policy!
His incapabilities are fully responsible for his taking shelter behind such easy going anti-poor principles that can be proved !
India is most unfortunate to have such a negative so called luminary who proves to be an "IMPOTENT"?

Democracy a farce

Holding parliament to ranson is so counter productive. Both rightist and left parties are guilty of this practice.(Not to say congress did not do this in the past)
When will our politicians learn to debate & discuss?

They will never learn so long as each party in power recognises the importance of reasoned stand and reasoned discussion.

What Yeddy has done is wrong.BJP High command hauled him up and all his relatives have returned the sites.Let all the benificiaries of sites alloted by S.M.Krishna and Kumaraswamy also return the sites. They alloted more sites than Yeddy who is a babe in the woods compared to sophisticated Krishna and others.Krishna's son-in-law picked up the hotel bills of the dissent MLAs.Why? Yeddy has banned the export of ore because the Reddys,Congress MLAs were conniving with former CM of AP late YSR's family in the export business. Now YSR's son Jagan has become a thorn in Congress's flesh.Yeddy's corruption is nothing compared to the mother of all scams loot by Raja. The loss to the Govt is Rs 1.76 lakh crore! Why doesn't Congress and PM ban the export of ore from India to protect our natural resources?BJP has been winning all By elections and the Corporation of Bangalore. The people while not condoning Yeddy are fed up by the efforts of Congress and JDS to unseat a duly elected Govt.Media has become a tool of the congress party.

When you occupy such posts you have to be honest, efficient. In Malayalam there is a saying, if you allow the dog sit in the chair it will ruin everything. Manmohan singhji you are only a scarecow P.M. and the power is in the hands of Sonia. You cannot dream to be the PM of India as you are not capable to become the P.M.

PM on parliamentary system
by sridharan r on Dec 12, 2010 09:35 AM

MMS may be worried about the parliamentary system as work has been stalled by teh opposition demanding a JPC on the 2G scam. He is not interested in a genuine probe into the scam nor is he in a position to come down severely on corruption as it originates from above and the highest of the high in his party to whom he proves to be very obedient and subservient. Now people are worried about the PM's system of functioning more than what is happening at the Parliament. Corruption of unimaginable magnititude has erupted in the UPA regime, with strong reasons to believe that it is nurtured by its chief. Best way out for MMS is, if he is really a man of integrity and with clean hands, to move out of the Congress or take a strong hold over his portfolio and act fiercely independently to punish the scamsters, whatever their background.

Honest PM?
by Bala Sundaram on Dec 12, 2010 09:29 AM  | Hide replies

The present PM has surpassed Narasimha Rao in keeping mum for all wrong reasons!
He kept mum in Qutrochi affair and allowed him to go scot free!
He allowed Raja to do whatever he wanted in 2G scam and kept mum and silently seeing the country looted.
He permitted Thomas to become the CVC despite opposition from Leader of the Opposition and remained mum.
Parliament is stalled for entire session over JPC and he remains mum.
He is mum on 2G scam and never bothered to make a public statement.
The media adore him as an honest and clean man and never bothers to pester him with questions.
He is constitutionally responsible to open his mouth on important matters concerning the natio but he is mum; but the media repeatedly calls him honest and clean! Is it because he keeps mum on crucial matters?
Not to speak of the leader of the ruling party, who also keeps mum on all such issues despite Dr Swamy openly accusing her family members of involvement in 2G scam!
Great PM and great leader!Greatmedia who refuse to go and pester them with their searching questions!

He did not know when the scam of this magnitude was going on ?
Raja and Kalmadi was doing every thing right under his nose .....
Till the date he has not tried to strengthen law to curb corruption...
Even after courts observation of spiraling corruption Mr Singh is arrogantly silent..
