Because India is not an asset, it is a services sector, a support, a dependent and that is the truth. When we point fingers, it is very ignorant of us. You cannot blame one personality. Behind on icon there is a whole administration. The main objective right now in India is how to how to bring Rahul as PM, by hook or by crook. Sonya should not expedite that because he is not an average Indian like MMS, Montek Singh Ahluwalia. He is not no better than mkgandhi, nehru, indira, rajiv, sanjay all born with a silver spoon. Indians have to think that before it was East India Company and now it is G8 nations who have a handful of indians in their clutches. India was never one, is not one and will never be one for centuries to come.

In the last decade if you take the international events and its trends ... majority of the events that have ocured is negative or say terror and counter terror events.
In the same period electronic media have rized considerably, which is fond of catering negative publicity, playing propoganda and other publicity stunts for the people governments or organizations if they pay the media well.
Hence, in such a world the countries who are know more as per the said survey in 2009 and seriously those who are constantly in news for some or the other reason, majority for wrong reasons. I can say without any doubt that China and US tops the list.
India and Indian leadership is not involved in any such propoganda nor they run negative publicity channels.
Infact India have successfully thwarted Pakistan in its propoganda game internationally. India have came back stronger in providing aids to the Tsunami hit countries. First country to reached with help aids was the India ship to the surprise of China, US and Pakistan.
India made more than 300 kms of road and build many strategic structures in war torn Afganistan in order to help Afganistan to rebuild quiclky. India gave $1 bn aid to Bangladsh as an economic aid and signed other trade treties with the neighbour.

I think from what Arun Shourie has said it seems obvious that opposition and government is playing a game by making it look like a JPC is the only solution to reach the truth. but it seems it will only kill the truth. I think we have a parlimwood which has greater actors than hollywood or bollywood
Many of the Indians also not aware of who are the leaders of western countries. they know only obama r other 1 r 2. and pupil of western world will not concentrate on all other news rather than any important one. who knows about Luiz In?o Lula da Silva , current Brazil president who changed the Brazil in growth path from worst.To make India into world headlines Indians has to grow a lot.Eventho other contries say India is already growth for thier sake, We know how many cores of pupil living below property line, and in many parts of the country Infrastructure needs to be developed a lot...then only we will b super power and world will know about us and our leadership...just having nuclear capability, rockets, IT and other country MNC will not help us to grow in Super power. The products which are manufactured in India should be sold in outside world...we have to achive all these...we have a PM who can do all these over a period of time...otherwise Indian news is not going to important 2 others..
