any contry may be super power if their Econamic Development and Militry ( all wing) advancement move on similar wheel without any differences , good example is Japan & china , japan was 2nd biggiest econamy after USA but they not capitalised its militry power in time , but in same time China develop its Econamy as its militry ( all wing ) now USA & Rassia & china are no 1 , 2 & 3 , so if india seem to be super power they must raise their militry ( all wing) other wise our infratructure ( road ,Power , avivation , chemical , petro , communication & IT )in war time used by china not pak china is enimy no 01 any dout , china making corner to india from all the world and disturbing from tibet to Kashmir and afganistan , we not put of infulence on any small country around asia for get west.

how many of the 'People' would pressurize the government for submarines? the government knows that these people exist in negligible proportions as far the election 'Voter turn-up' is considered. hence the Govt is least considered about the modernisation of Defence. it only cares for the so called 'aam aadmi' who's happy when they declare 'Reservations' this 'aam aadmi' has no relevence to the actual / statistical benifit or no benifit of such reservations
Why didn't the govt penalise MDL for delay in the submarine ? Also, why are L&T/Pipavav being made the scape-goats for inefficiencies of the defence PSU. It has been proven time and again that indian defence PSUs r pathetic. whatever is being asked from them is delayed by a huge margin. why not giv the pvt sector a fair chance and thn we can decide..
It's time that the people know about our deficiencies and pressurize the govt to act in national interest. We cannot neglect defense when two criminals are around in our neighborhood wielding weapons. Let L&T also build some subs of the P75I series and also the next generation of Indigenous subs along with Mazagaon dock. Govt must act wise in the time of grave threat to our security.

These things are known to everyone in the world. It's not top secret. Only thing is that the Indian people did not know it. So such reports educate the public about the threat that exist. Hope this wakes up the govt to act to plug the security loopholes.

Enough is highlighted in US media Sweeping all these inefficiencies under the carpet breeds corrupition,complacencey and makes our armed forces weak Instead of faulting the messenger we have to pull up the organisations which cause delay.Tanks,LCA,Ships,Missiles,Avionics,name it all are delayed Why? Introspection is necessary
