I think Govt. should review there International policy and also review their budget for DEFENCE .i thnk we shuld be updated and up graded .The situation is dangerious and all politicall leaders should have concesus on same.Now action is required rather then speeach.Head of state should change his thinking process and act for country.
How many people really care about such a serious issue? this is evident from the number for posts on this discussion board, despite the article being here for hours. If this was about caste, regionalism,etc. them I'm sure the forum would be flooded with mesages. This ignorance is known to the Politicians & hence they priortise only those issues that catch the attention of the masses(aam aadmi)i.e. reservations, language, pricerise etc.

The excessive messages posted are normally on issues of politics where probably paid people represent their party positions and try to shout others out. Most of those messages are rhetoric and constant. They have no logic or understanding.
In that dim of confusion genuine comments either get buried or they do not post.
IN INDIA WE HAVE TO ENCOURAGE OUR PRIVATE SECTOR COMPANIES TO PARTICIPATE CRITICAL TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS IN THE FILED OF SPACE AND DEEP SEA.WE CAN USE OUR NAVRATNAS TO PARTICIPATE BECAUSE THESE ORGANISATIONS HAVE BEST OF THE BRAINS WHO ARE OTHERWISE INVOLVED IN BEAUREAUCRATIC AFFAIRS.PRIVATE MONEY AND EXPERTISE WILL GIVE INDIA A EDGE AND WILL GIVE WORLD CLASS MANUFACTURING FACILITIES IN INDIA.

Akhilesh! Indian Pvt sector cos are within the purview of investigation for the indian IT,inteligence, judiciary etc. thus it will be difficult to conseal te kickbacks
Only if all that big money was spent on the public and infrastructure! Maybe there won't be any poverty, maybe farmers would not commit suicides, everyone would have decent toilets and not shit or piss in the open, a decent school and library for every village and town, electricity, good roads and a decent standard of living for all Indians.

Yes...I think you are asking too much...We Indian don't have development mentality. You will see if some budget is assign for infrastructure then 50% will go to politician and babus, in rest of money there will be lots of hera pheri...who is allowing this? We Indian. 2nd if some project is coming which can be done very fast also cannot be start or if start thn cannot be complete…reason…political parties create kind of situation that lots of land holder will go on protect without thinking a single time. So which kind of progress we can expect in India. Final conclusion is, Indian people think for their benefit first not for country’s benefits. That’s why you are saying too much…all the things you mention are good but even though if we will get money for this thn again same story and process will happened. LONG LIVE CORRUPTION AND CONGRESS

what are you gona do with lots of subs if you dont hv the adrenalin??? attacking our parliament was like molesting our mother!!! we dont get angered by that!!! 26/11 happens, we are still cool like a beer can!!! same with kargil! we stopped the conflict the moment all the dirty peegs were evicted from our soil. why couldnt we go on a hot pursuit??? scared of nuke-puke by pak??? well they can choose one shot at india which will later serve as their epitaph!!! agreed we will have one hiroshima but then the whole pakistan will look like an enormously huge crater on the earth, in the satellite camera! nobody will remain alive there even to mourn the departed! they know it too well. when are WE???? attack them and finish them! permanent surgical amputation is the only remedy to a gangarene affected limb and thats exactly what pak has become to the whole world. so the sooner we do this surgery the better. granted some of us will not be in this world to see the glorious moment but those who survive shall live with valor honor peace dignity and joy forever. eternal bliss for india. no more terror. no more threats. dragon is a wise animal which can learn lessons from others experience too! it will stop exhaling fire automatically. Such moronic comments! The country u mention is not a sub saharan desert land, it is also a nuclear power with additional latest weapons and strategic tie ups with China and USA. Maybe someone should have told you that the forces of USA and NATO have a big presence over there and any attack is unthinkable. Of course, the western powers, especially Israel will love to see a full blown war between India and Pakistan. There won't be any winners in any future big wars between india & pak, only two losers and the vested western interest would enjoy the destruction as it means billions of dollars of business for their military industrial complex.
Go get some education Rajesh, the age for violent solutions is over, especially for two nuclear powers like India-Pak.
Even the USA with all its mighty and advanced weaponry could not win in Iraq & Afghanistan, who do not even possess advanced fancy weapons like India-Pak.

how many of the 'People'would pressurize the government for submarines? the government knows that these people exist in negligible proportions as far the election 'Voter turn-up' is considered. hence the Govt is least considered about the modernisation of Defence. it only cares for the so called 'aam aadmi' who's happy when they declare 'Reservations' this 'aam aadmi' has no relevence to the actual/statistical benifit or no benifit of such reservations

At least instead of helping porkistan with the relief money that too through UN as if we are in need of it, we better spend it on our Defence mechanism. Stronger defence will at least deter enemy by some amount from taking action against us. This puppet of sonia gandhi - manmohan singh will never think of our own people but will try to lick porkistanis to show his sickularism like mohandas gandhi.
