A puppet PM whose orders flow from a lady and her son, whose cabinet colleagues are tainted with proven corruption (Pawar, Raja, Kalmadi), a Government which has no clue on significant matters effecting the country (Price rise, J & K, CWG Games shame, Naxalism etc)., is hardly a Government which can take us into the twenty first century.
It is a shame to celebrate an Independence day when a vast majority of its citizens suffer a daily death where living life is increasingly difficult and taking to violence is increasingly easier.
This is a Government which targets a personal vendattta against the CM of a state who has made the state grow the fastest in the whole of Asia in the last twelve years. What we need as a country is visionary people such as Chandrababu Naidu, Narendra Modi (the godhra riots are the unfortunate blot on this otherwise honest and efficent CM) and not puppet CMs like Chavan in Maharashtra.
The BJP Governmne initiated Nation wide road improvement and building infrastructure and today we are witness to the good work arising out of that. There was no price arise of food stuffs of the magnitude witnessed during the last few years and yet, we celebrate Independence day!! Shame on us!

Although GOI of India has taken some steps against corrupt officials, yet, a half-hearted approach against corrupt politicians is diluting the intention of the govt. GOI has yet to take some important policy dicisions on checking the fountain-head of corrupion - dubious means of collection of pary funds. Instead, a party-less election fund may be allowed under the care of President of India with tax-benefits to the donors. This fund may used for generalized election campaigns of all candidates and pary manifesto. All-party opinion may be sought on this count.
There is no rank in the IAF called Wing Commodre. It's either Wing COMMANDER or Air COMMODORE. My guess is, it's Wing Commander Panda, going by the fact that the Army person was Major, and the Navy guy was Lt. Commander (IAF equivalent is Squadron Leader. Wing Commander is one level above).
