The biggest stumblic block of Indians is their lack of respect for themselves. They have a slave mentaliy and are willing to be auctioned. If you see the behaviour of our Leaders and Politicians you can understand how this country is being systematically raped. Hold...Politicians are reflection of society at large...the general mass is no different than our Politicians...they have developed a deep indifference towards the overall good for the country and engaged in pettiness in every walk of life. And we keep saying "India is the next SuperPower"....SuperPower my foot..the country with 50% population below poverty level, extreme corruption can only dream of being a SuperPower. Chinese are way ahead...and we are another Pakistan in the making..With leaders like Mayawati, Mulayamsingh and RajThackeray..the country will go to Dogs.

China will readily gets accepted by both Koreas, Japan, Taiwan, Outer mongolia and with little persuasion all the other south east asian countries from Philipines to Burma. Religion played lesser role in those countries except to a certain extent in Indonesia and Mlayasia unlike in Pakistan and Bangladesh our neighbours. ethnicity plays much bigger role in identity politics and international relationship. India does not have that advantage. Being the biggest country in the region and the world, provides it the privileges and the 'China is sexy as far as America goes. India is, well, interesting' tag.

It is not about china is low cost or india..or who is patriotic or who is hardworker...it is about the China strategy aligned to put diplomatic pressure on US to prefer china over india..those who know about CURRENCY MANIPULATION allegation by US on CHINA can understand it in first shot..
But the problem is media which is majorly TIMES group always portray the situation in this way only that china is better..so we Indians get carried away with this thought we can read in comments below...

Haniffa’s observations are to the point.
India is no comparison to China. In 1990 our GDP was similar. But in these two decades, their economy is three times ours.
Everyone loves money. Today China is a moneybag three times of India.
We Indians are indiscipline, argumentative etc etc. Our workers waste working time discussing lofty ideas ( like yours truly at this moment ) and mental "maithun".
Our leaders can’t be too different from us.
If you compare CWG and the Beijing Olympics, you get the idea.
Reason US, Europe is leaning towards china is they are getting better space to run business profitably. in india people live in dream. their mind is full of gossip, blame. they watch too much news and analysis. thats all about accusation. makes mind agitated. Unlike india, chinees are very hard working and they focus on building infrastructur.

The biggect difference between China & India is that Chinese are hard workers & 100% patriotic whereas Indians are hardly working & want to get themselves divided further & further into rivulets, till there is a river no more but just the sea which will have engulfed them.....
Pakistan was ages ago; it's going to be repeated now with Kashmir. & every group-head everywhere in every state is trying to carve a nation for himself n his group by blackmailing the spineless central govt.

In india we also dream to build infrastructure. but dont want to spend money, pay tax for this, make effort or be discipline. 3 needed. we like to just discuss things, thats measure source of pleasure.

Manoj, Open your eyes man, u never see a dull, unintelligent, broken english speaking chinees like, expatriates indians in a foreign land. Its True, Our people are hard working when they are not with u in Indian. Ur country has come out of socialist way of thinking and now broden up their mind towards progress since 1995 only. within 15 years ur economy has grown many folds, compare to the fastest growing economies in the globe, and in the place of infrastructure u need to bridge a lot to catch up with the west or china. Pls mind u have just begun the show only as I said ' since 1990".
