Raj Thackeray should be made the chief minister of jammu and kashmir. He will carry his sena troop and give a speech that, Kashmir belong to Marathi manoos, since Raja Hari of kashmir had marathi connections. In fight for supremacy between Geelani, Mufti and Thackeray, Thackeray would win as he can easily misguide people and use them for their own purpose. He would offer them jobs in mumbai. Unemployed protestors, who are struggling would get confuse, whom to support. Then Omar should invite all UP and Bihari people to clean all stones from valley, Thackeray then would say all UP and Bihari should be kicked out from Kashmir, as Kashmir belong to marathi manoos. Thats how people will deviate from core message in kashmir and violence would end

Are these young guns really their icons?
by Nimish on Aug 06, 2010 08:44 AM  | Hide replies

I hope the Kashmiri youth responds to this letter positively. But I don't think that Rahul, Omar and Priya Dutt are their icons. Well even I would not listen to quite a few people on that list. I hope the national and international icons land in here to make a mass appeal. People from film and sports fraternity should make use of their brands for a national cause. We are talking about masses here. They would not want to listen to political diplomats. I think if these icons make an appeal for peace and make a gateway for the diplomats to be heard, we might see some progress towards resolving the issue.

Yes, you are right. What to talk õf these useless politicians, having no credibility whatsoever, when even the message õf Syed Salahuddin, who is considered as an Icon õf Resistance by Kashmirs, was not heeded to.

First of all, why talk in terms of 'independence' and all. Please refrain from using those terms. Kashmir is an integral part of India. Even the mere thought of Kashmir separation is painful

While I feel extremely anguished at the death of children, the question arises why their parents are allowing them to pelt stones at security personnel.Life is precious whether of security personnel or Kashmiris.

superb ms. rumana. You are in curfew for the past what 8 days, you have no food, yet you have electricity, yet you have internet, forget about that, yet you have a computer!!! You seem to be more concerned trying to portray your so called grief...if you were genuinelly concerned you would have been more concerned saving your child's life and and trying to secure an alternative mean for food...typical Kashmiris all hype, no substance

@kalinga Putra: who is Delhi? is it a person? or a community? Delhi is a city - a blend made up of a bit of Kashmir, bit of Gujrat, a bit of Maharashtra, a bit of Bengal etc. Who do you want to kick out from this blend?

I definitely know Pandits killed when they were driven out. I know about Pandit ladies who were raped.
Do you think Pandits are fools to run away from their ancestral properties and heritage if all was well?
The fact is Muslims when they have majorit will not allow any minorities to live with them.
But when they are minorities will cry hoarse.

Violence is never a solution. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. CRPF were restraining against a violence. I dont see the need for them to be punished. This situation should be resolved by a dialog and not stones

Innocent unarmed, ofcourse. But stones are their weakness. See stone, throw stone. Cute people.

(Well, they did try heavy arms too, but that didn't work. Now new strategy)

Minority gangasters have the right to loot and rape..why fuss about sohrabuddin and abu salem ? They are to be given bharat ratna and sent to Pakistan by giving $100,00,000 and a PIO card..it is hineous crime to kill minority terrorists when India is manufacturing majority terrorists who are being trained by BJP/RSS who ruthlessly agttack pakistan, saudi arabia and other prominent holy places claiming they are hindu worship places...also Kashimr vally people fighting for the great and sole religiousfree doom should honored by giving freedom to loot and kill minorities at will and convert them by force..

Too much of sarcasm Veera. Well, Karan why do you want to bring in minorities in this? Do you see any other minority group in India supporting the separatists? Look at it objectively. No minority group is biting you back. All of this had been well drafted in some board room in China or Pakistan. And they are successful with Kashmir and Naxals. Of course there was discontent with the people over there. I don't challenge their condition since I have never been a party to it before. But had it not been for the foreign elements, their discontent would not have this direction today. So lets stay united and lets defeat their purpose

You are too naive or closing eyes
Whenever these minority religions become majority they want to have independence. Whole Idea of pakistan was that - Isn't it? Even Kashmir is asking to be separated only due to religion. They have no other problem except self-inflicted one like this. Kashmir is the among the richest with highest per capita income. Where did this come from? From our taxes.
Their stomach is so full that recent offer of more modern development by Sonia was rejected by terrorist leaders. Tey say all they want is freedom - I dont know freedom from what?

Kashmir Issue !
by Karan Hi on Aug 06, 2010 06:24 AM  | Hide replies

Kashmir issue cant be solved, for simple reason if a Minority who is Majority in this stare carves out a state driving all other groups out of the state, rest of india would think of doing the same.. that would lead to daily massacres of unamiginable levels.. so we have to live with them and they with us.
Otherwise whoever needs them !~! unless of course they change thier level.

That wont happen. Minorities will always be protectd in India. At worst a few clashes may happen initially but later everything will be fine. This is true whichever party would be in power on such a hypothetical day because that is Hindu ethos.

Who are anti-national? Rediff or Kashmiris?
by anirban bandyopadhyay on Aug 06, 2010 06:19 AM  | Hide replies

We know how Congress is burning the state of Kashmir.

When Rediff publishes article like this praising Rahul Gandhi... surely they forget the nation and think of a particular political party.

Just note Rediff, if Kashmir is out, entire nation will break down. Congress will not exist.
