Btw, i am not sure if these commandos are trained to protect us from attack, or to protect Kasab!!! ;) As Kasab is going to enjoy hospitality of our govt on our tax payers money for at-least another 10-15 years, i wont be surprised if they will use these commandos to protect him!!! Kasab must be thinking that he is the luckiest person from pakistan. The kind of privilages he is getting here in prison, he would have never expected in his life. Poor uneducated person who grew up in poor parts of pakistan and trained in jungels!!! All other millitants who were killed in attack must be cursing themselve that they died :)
1)mum police cudnt track terroist movements 2)mum police dint trap any calls ..complete intelligence failure from thier part 3)when terroist attacked.police was in utter shocked and looked clueless. 4)they mis managed evrything and thier follishness that killed 3 top ATS officers.
with poor bullet proof jackets and outdated 303 guns they claim they are better of NSG
training and revision has to be carried easy to purchase n elephant difficult to maintain it tommorrow you would have the force helping purchase grossery for ministers
It is a good thing that the Mumbai Police commandos are being put to good use much like the NSG commandos - protecting politicians. We can't afford to lose any more lungis to terrorist attacks now, can we.

good one!!! but i guess 1000 commandos are not enough!!! next time when Maya madam from UP will visit mumbai, she herself will ask for 1000 commandos to protect her!!! :) i just dont know, who the hell in world wants to kill her :)
May be they are better but how will we know if our politicians and top officials ensure that our security is never on time where it is supposed to be? I think the CP should lay off of this comparison until there is solid consistent practical proof. Until then the Police Commandoes are nothing but bookworms with only "training" and no practical use. I bet I could do a lot better than even your best police commando if I know I'm not going to be killed in these training exercises. As far I'm concerned, put an NSG and a police commando in a do-or-die situation and the NSG will fight his way out while the police commando would probably pee in his pants and try to stink his way out. Btw. Mr. Dhanushkodi.. how many security expeditions have you participated in to be in a position to make this comment?
Good to hear that we have better trained commandos to protect our cities!!! but i am surprised they way ppl bring politics in it. Before these brave guys touch ground, Sivanandan alrady started comparing it with NSG. This comparision causes problems when the actual problem comes. Now just to prove that what he said was right, he won't let NSG ppl to come for rescue if such problem comes!!! These new commandos might be better trained, but NSG has experience!!! And these non-sense millitants wont be coming back in the same style every time they came during mumbai attack. Instead of comparing these commandos with other elite forces, he should focus on providing them better equipments and training. One more thing, these commandos can be better used only if our ministers wont use them for personal security!!! Today he announced that now mumbai has better commandos, i wont be surprised, if tomorrow most of the ministers will ask them to protect their bungalows from millitant attacks!!! this is what happened with NSG!!! :)
This mallu wants to say that Mumbai Police commandos can play video games better than NSG. Let the time come and people see one day who is better. Hats off to NSG commandos for thr efforts during 26/11.

How can a police is allowed like that without any safety in to the combat.Is they thought that they are going to catch a pick pockter.Something our police,army should learn from Operation Entabbe.

the best part is, before mumbai police or NSG, it was nevy seals who came and started fighting in taj hotel, as they were stationed nearby and in-fact 2 seals died as well, but no one talks about them. all credit went to mumbai police and nsg

Dear Sachine,u r correct.but the fact is that before 26/11 the NSG base was in delhi.now it has been established in all metros.so that time it was not possible to reach within 2/3 hours.and our intelligence agency and coordination teams is world's poorest.so not to blame commandos.its our netas....

This Sivanandan is CP because Maharashtra home sercrety is Chandra Iyengar who is also Madrasi.and our Home minister Chindu is also Madrasi. Madrasi's are overconfident.

I never heard thakreys attacked any Haryanvi.Infact i came from UP and i am happy what this city has offered me, actually i am safe here in mumbai than back in UP.
