i remember the day force one was inaugurated many commandos were sick and didn't turn up for the parade section. this doesn't happen with NSG so NSG is better

Almost every one(common people) who drives car in US has a GPS, but how will the GPS help them reach early in case of a traffic jam. These people just talk rubbish. NSG only saved them, what a joke. These commandos will still be behind NSG. NSG Commondos are actually men from Army. We already know how army is better than state police, state police have their bellies protruding. Tell police force to first become fit, then do comparision from NSG.

NSG and MARCOS are the still best what India has got. But its good to have commandos at local police level.

Dear Mr. Sivanandan

you should have avaoided this type of comments.it is unfair to compare like this.you keep quite and these type of comparisions will divide the people.please donot compare like this in coming days. we can never ever forget the time NSG spent during 26/11 and leave or skip such type of questions. leave alone better than them.
A person of your stature should still have avoided such comments and you would have said that every one is specialised in their respective field.

You are absolutely right. No need of comparisons. The services of NSG commandos are well tested and such statements may demoralise their spirits.

Shame on CP
by One Liner on Apr 21, 2010 06:36 PM  | Hide replies

yeah right! What way are they better? Just in talking? Maha ATS chief's jacket was like the jacket used to protect from ordinary rain and not rain of bullets. Even the weapon they had was rusted old weapons. When Maharashtra police have not held a modern weapon for ages much less get trained, how can they be better than NSG.

Or Is CP giving a wrong hint to terrorists that NSG is worse than lathi weilding Maha police?

Unwarranted Comment

This is an unwarranted comment comparing apple and orange.

Probably we can give the benefit that this is more a subjective comment and said out of pride. Hopefully the pride keeps us build a formidable internal security.

It is not good to compare police with army. Both are required for security.

NSG operation during 26-11 was such a waste. Pathetic NSG could not arrive at the scene for 12 hours. They waited for a special plane. Couldnt they take any airline. They couldnt rescue a single person from Chabbad house or the Taj, All rescue was done by the ill equipped mumbai police in the previous night.

What you wanted them to do? Run from Haryana to Mumbai? NSG were not for rescue, they were to flush terrorists out with minimal damage to innocent citizens, and that is what they did. Learn full ABCD before commenting!!

Bombay Police chased, shot and captured a live terrorist. What did NSG do?? Wait behind barracks for them to make a mistake and fired from 100 mtrs. The only time they ventured inside the Taj, they all got killed. East or West Bombay (its people & police both) are BEST.

Wait its no more Bombay Police, who are you? Its known as Mumbai. And where were these so called Police, they should have taken charge and killed the terrorists. Where were they hiding. One did a good job accepted. Others were running here and there, thats all that they did.

Now debate about Mumbai/Bombay. Gr8. They chased them from VT (now called CST), Cama Hospital & Eros. If it were not for these ill-equipped guys, many more might have had unfortunate faith. They cornered them in the Oberoi Hotel, Taj Hotel & Chabad House, after which the NSG took over.

He is a real lottery. He is the reason Pakistan had to admit after 60 years that there are elements within its state which are responsible for attacks within India. If he was also killed, we could never have proven that.
