Modi
by velvette on Apr 19, 2010 09:57 PM  | Hide replies

Why is Modi, who is least connected with ANY sports , least of all cricket ( He is not a cricketer, he is not an empire and damn he is not even a sports columnist), made chairman of cricket.

Any WHY MUST WE HAVE POLITICAL FILTH in sports ? What business do they have ? They must be kicked out of sports. Sports belong to Sports persons and fans of sports. WHat do these garbage havee to do with sports ?

Get so angry when I see Pawar and Kalmadi , Lallu etc heading sports organizations. hat do these guys have in sports ?

Ok. Cooled down. Question. What makes Modi better administrator of cricket than say Gavaskar or Kapil dev or Ravi Shastry (education, knowleged of the game, integrity etc).

Australian cricket is run by australian ex-cricketers. There are professionals too. But they work as employees. They do not put their fingers in multibillion deals.

He pretty much single handedly managed Latin America's support ( Chile , Argentina and Ecuador) to India for India's membership to security council.

Brokered deal with middle east for continuation of energy security.

And I guess he was one of those people who drafted the G20 or whatever - meet that happened to discuss on regional stability.

He is trapped in a dig with a girl friend (and morons like you who do not have slightest idea of MEA's work), does not mean idiots like you throw a stone.

Think before you comment.

Am not a big fan. But just give some benefit of doubt cos you are educated too.

Yeah I was in Santiago when he was there. And I read in spanish newspapers how this chap from UN ( India) is an adept deal maker etc. And TV channels continually shown the thing. Besides, MEA itself credited Tharoor for his efforts. Whats your problem in general ?

DO you suffer from ignorance but do not wish to admit or generally go fake ?

Basically it all happened so swiftly that this super smart guy from UN too was taken by surprize. Such was the savagery and depth of indian polity that he understood he stand no chance.

These guys are in politics for 50 years. They came up through tremendous efforts survival skills and not to mention - disgustingly rotten ethics and integrity.

Tharoor fighting modi and pawar is like a kindergarten kid fighting a bahubali from bihar. lol.

But Modi must be probed fully. No one gets to become a billionnaire in couple of years. And why is Pawar so ardently supporting him. God only knows.

by hiral joshi on Apr 19, 2010 09:23 PM  | Hide replies

He has done wrong, he tried to benefit his companion Sunanda, undue by flouting the company laws. He put is Officer in Special Duty (OSD) Mr. Jacob Joseph to monitor IPL bidding and make sure Kochi wins the bid. He sent SMSes to Modi not to reveal Sunanda's name. These things were more than enough to ensure his ouster and PM did take all these things into account. But if Tharoor is guilty that doesnt mean IPL and BCCI bosses are honest and truthful. They too must be investigated to the core. Why was BCCI not paying the Taxes and how many state level cricket councils and associations are paying Taxes?

Aap kamal ke hain.

See Sharad pawar created a special air strip for his daughter's wedding some 20 years ago ( so you can imagine what he is now).

Chaggan bhubal flies to Pune to attend a yoga class EVERY DAY by helicopter ( and we do not even know what his role is in Telgi scam).

RR Patil ? clean guy but how clean ?

Patel. Less said the better.

Vilasrao deshmukh ? How come there are so many flyovers and all of them are given to someone or other - dear.

Antulay ..

The Thakres.. who run the BMC like their kitty.

The list goes on and on yaar.

Don't scratch the surface and be happy.

Yeah, I strongly Support U...Tharoor may be a person of good Intellect, but he is not able administrator or good speaker. To become a good leader, one must have control on his tongue..what u speak must be precise and to the point, morever it should be relevant. I Think Tharoor Lacks effective communication Skills. We have seen his flip-flop statements since he was made a minister in MEA. A Person holding such dignified & responsible Post in INIDAN GOVT. is not liable to commit such mistakes. He was warned Repeatedly for his misbehaviour. So called high command of Congress had to AXE him off to save Sonia's Neck. I think it was wise decision, better late than never. I Urge all Malyalees to show dissent rather than supporting Tharoor just for the Sake he is a Mallu. Tommorow he if mallu becomes a terrorist..still u guys will Support him ? God Save us from these foolish Mallus.....

A few days earlier, newspapers had carried front-page stories linking a beautiful South African model, Gabriella Demetriades, with Modi. It seems Modi no longer wanted the association and had requested Tharoor’s office, as Minister of State for External Affairs, to deny Gabriella a visa. Piqued by the backroom pressure and anxiety Modi had been visiting on his boss and the Kochi team, Tharoor’s aide Jacob Joseph refused to entertain the request and not only expedited the visa but apparently taunted Modi’s aides about it. The story goes that when Modi found out, he called Tharoor in a rage at night and slammed the phone down, vowing vendetta.

But Modi is not an elected representative and a minister. Whatever Modi does in his private life with gabriella or shakira is not for us to bother. If any wrong doing was happening at the part of Modi on Gabriella issue, Tharoor should have brought out but he rather chose to keep mum, probably he wanted few favors from Mr. Lalit Modi or whatever.

Lalit Modi had approached Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and was assured by the latter that if he could ensure that the Gujarat team wins the franchise and brings both glamour and money to the state, he’d be made the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (of which the chief minister is the president).
