my dear friend,
there is a chance to save us from such cruel laws supporting some classes and stamping some decent classes by appealing to high courts, and supreme court. and it will be taken as special case and you will be given justice,

Why so much preferential treatment to SC ST ????
by anam on May 31, 2011 01:23 PM

Is it our fault that we belong to general class? Not having reservation for colleges, job, anything... While taking admission in college, we are paying higher fee than SC ST. They know they are safely reserved people. So, they don't study well. And at the time of applying for government job, they are exempted from fee, they are allowed with low marks, some job seats specially reserved for them.... Why??? God has given same brain to all. Give them help in education. But after education why to do partiality? If they will have capability, they will get job. We general class people do so much hard work after education, for job interview, but at the time of final selection, SC ST people get priority and reserved quota. Isn't it unfair? Please wake up Indians... We need equal right. These politicians are doing seperation and pampering to SC ST for their vote. I am really fade up with this. Please somebody come forward to help General category people.

misuse of SC/ST act
by Satish Bhise on Apr 03, 2010 06:46 PM

I have 3 comments to offer
1. If anybody misuses provisions of the act, then He/She should be treated as a vexatiuous litigant by the concerned state.Non-conviction of the accused should be treated as misuse of the act.
2. State Govt. offers an incentive of Rs. 6250(25% of Rs. 25,000)if charge sheet is filed against the convict. This provision should be immediately done away. The provision itself is promoting more number of false cases.
3. Some state-Govt. employees are using this act as a weapon against their senior officers if the officer belongs to open category. Such irresponsible employees shoud be severely dealt with by the state Govt.

Casteless community is the need of the hour
by Tamilarasan on Apr 03, 2010 11:17 AM

caste is implanted as a poision in the mind of people while admitted in the school itself and continues in their life forever. I know atleast few of my close friends affected by this law. Their only fault is they belong to the so called useless high caste, just to settle personal scores. One of them is an high level officer in government by his own peon

Mis use of laws
by Gururajendra Javali on Apr 02, 2010 05:45 PM  | Hide replies

Not only this SC/ST (prevention of atrocities) act,Prevention of corruption act and many more laws are misused very often, if not always, to settle the personnel scores and to meet bad people's selfish ends. Many a honest person's career is spoiled when prevention of corruption act is mis-used.But our judiciary is applying its mind and giving the right justice. Thanks to judiciary for safe gaurding the innocents.

YES THANK THEM, THIS IS GOOD CAUSE.

MY QUESTION IS DO WE NEED QUOTA AFTER 63 YEARS.

HERE IS SOLUTION- CAN WE LIMIT THIS TO ONLY THOSE STATES WHERE STILL THERE IS DISPARITY??

CAN WE MAKE IT BASED ON ECONOMIC BASIS, SAY BELOW POVERTY LINE??

THESE ARE NEW QUESTIONS ,WE NEED TO THINK ABOUT

There r 3 ways to fix Casteism in India.
1. 85% of all marriages should be Inter-Caste
2. Carry a licensed Pistol
3. Buy a separate nation for your community

SC/ST coming of age
by chiranjiv Kukreja on Apr 02, 2010 05:30 PM

The misuse of SC/St is really a matter of concern ,no doubt. But one should see the other side of it,Which shows that Sc/St are now in a posision to pay back others in the same coin.I am sure they are achieving equlity psycologically and can face the challenges of society on their own and there won't be any need of the act to protect them.
