Few days back we had the media talking about failure of Chandrayan today what happened to the media. I think its high time for Indian News Channels to understand that any scientific advances made by a country will have certain level of success or failures. Science should not be a considered a BREAKING NEWS item by media. Its advances should be appreciated. Failures should not be used to harasses a community which is actually spear heading such organisations. Failures too are equally important in science for refinement. End of day people working at ISRO could have made the choice, like other Indian scientists for working with organisations like NASA. Would the country gain anything out of it.
Its high time that the media realises that putting a person into a tube well and calling it a breaking news is one thing while putting a person on the moon is totally different ballgame. Anyways lets congratulate a handful of people who are working hard to get us to a different level. Let us criticise their achievements but lets do a constructive criticism.

its the media which badly needs patriotism. after media going electronic, entire world is watching every move of us. pls be patriotic and project the success of indians to the world and help is to review its failure behind the doors.
Media could do a lot in projecting the failures of govt where several thousands of crores are in stake and also the stack money at swiss.
Atleast this could trigger the development of our beloved INDIA, which is in more danger from our neighbours now

Well said1. I feel the media release should be authenticated by validation, not by cooked up stories. I feel the media should select relevant scientifally educated staff for understanding & publishing the message in simple language for public to geta good feel of Science. Science is a Gamet of ideas hypothesised and tested. If it works then appreciate and if it fails please encourage. So please support them for betterment of Science and also Mankind.

what were you expecting from Chadrayan? Apart from the close photographs (and many other discoveries) of the lunar surface now they have discovered water (confirmed by NASA) Do you want Chandrayan to find alients on moon and report back. Chandrayan was 90 % success. Good enough, for it is the first time that we are sending a satellite to the moon. well done scientists.

Were you on a different planet yesterday when NASA announced discovering water on the moon thanks to their device on Chandrayan.
