What Mr. Cohen perhaps forgot to mention is what to do with a nation which is constantly targetting its neighbour without any provocation, breeding terrorists like LeT, HuM, JuD & above all, Al-Qaeeda. Mr. Cohen also conveniently avoided the link of ISI with the terrorists and the Pak army backing of all the terrorist acts around the globe. The fact remains that Pak has a Govt which is incompetent with a chaprasi-chhap as the president. They cannot serve any purpose apart from delivering some B/S fiery speech against India. It's time US Army should enter Pak and fight the Talibans themselves. Also, the nuke weapons are no more safe in Pak. So those should be diffused with the help of US specialists and demobilised till Pak become stable. Otherwise, the end of Pak is near. The country will disintegrate under ever continuing civil war between so called Pak army & thr Talibans.

pakistan as state not targetting but non state actors are targettingb both the countries. taliban were created by american to fight against russia.
US has no other go but to tame the monster it created. If the US dumps Pakistan now, the whole world has to pay the price. Pakistan govt don have much resources to fight the Taliban and its internal factions. Pak govt is totally helpless. The best US can do now, is to take away the nuclear weapons from Islamabad and keep the weapons with them. And then fight the Taliban. They cannot let the Taliban flourish again like in Afghan.

If they ditch Pak now, at this point, we have to figh the menace called Taliban. So its better if US uses its resources and money to fight them. That solves our problem.
guys look at the irony- if some minority guys get killed in a riot in Gujarat, Pakistan goes around painting the town red regarding India's atrocities on the minor's and asking the world to intervene. To help them are the Teesta Setalvads, Arundhati Roys, Burkha Dutts and Prannoy Roys and offcourse not to forget the congressis and the samajwadis and the lalus. When Sikhs and Hindus are prosecuted in Pakistan, just a meek protest from our famous MMS and no noise in the world forum. If the Indian army kills some terrorists in Kashmir, the Pakis raise hell, saying that Indian army is doing atrocities on the muslims in Kashmir, the same Pakis are using fighter jets and missiles in their own land against SWAT valley people and there they justify taht they are fighting terrorism.
The Indian government has been a big failure in highlighting the failure of Pakistani government in protecting the minority interests in Pakistan and about the Pakistani army atrocities. The Pakistanis have beaten us blue in diplomacy, unfortunately most of the time the Indian government (especially the MMS/SOnia government) seems too meek in front of the Pakistan government

Not really. The current situation is in such a state, that no good diplomacy would have helped anyone.
The main problem is the monster called Taliban created by Pakistan with US resources. US cannot afford to ditch Pak at any cost and give easy access to nuclear weapons.
So no matter what happens, US has no other go, but to support Pak and curb the menace which it created.
The whole world knows, that Pakistan is the breeding ground for terrorism. US interference, in Pakistan's internal affairs, itself shows that Pakistan is the failed state and noone needs to prove that.

In one family if one child is let go his way and he is antisocial whole family has to pay the price. In pakistan Pakistan and its people will pay a heavy price if they don't take the action Now.
