Not sure about that . However you will soon see the Balochis and Sindhis who are non extremist and secular increasingly rise against the torture, oppression, sidelining, looting of resources and tibetisation carried on by Punjabis,Talibans in Pakistan for the past 60 yrs.

Pakistan has always been used by America, either to contain India or fight the Russians. Thousands of armed and unemployed Mujahideen became foot soldiers for Taliban, and now America still wants to distinguish between "Good Taliban" and "Bad Taliban". They have no sense of a holistic approach and fight individual wars with chosen enemies and friends. India must exercise caution in relying on them at all.

India must help Pakistan enhance Democracy.
by New York on May 08, 2009 07:53 PM  | Hide replies

Pakistan as a nation is confused and sandwiched between Sharia (Saudi) and Democracy (India) since its formation in 1947.
And true Muzlims must rewrite correct QU'RAN now.

One secular guy Jinnah used religion to divide a nation so that he can be its head. He created a devil that ate him. How can you devide a country on the basis of religion and expect it to follow democracy. This is a lesson to any one whether Hindutva or Islamic not to see acountry based on religion. Theocracy just does not work unless all are willing to be under the draconian laws of religion like Islam.

With no-dialogue state .. India is doing its best to help Pakistan. Unless Pak will understand that with such Indian stance they are the looser themselves and they stop their proxy war in Kashmir and all over India, India should not get into all this. Regarding Taliban, we can take care of that menace.. let the rats come

Yes i agree Riv,
Common man in India, any religion they may be, are interested in the well being of their family, and if they are doing ok..trying to extending help.

The trouble makers are the idle brains who want to live on these problems.

In India we have already identified for the most part the real trouble makers, that is why after million provocations people do not budge a bit . They are peaceful to a great extent.

IN ISLAM POLITICS OR GOVERNING IS PART OF RELIGION- THE IDEA OF SEPARATION OF STATE AND RELIGION IS WESTERN INVENTION, PARTICULARITY USA'S INVENTION- NOW INDIAN ETHOS IS SUCH WE DON'T NEED SO CALLED"SECULAR" PARTIES , THEY FORGET INDIA IS THE LAND WHERE PROSECUTED JEWS, PARSES and recently BUDHIST found safe Heaven. Time to eradicate so called anti-national "secular" parties who failed to Understand Indian Culture.

Now Pakistan is Failed state, the cancer has spread to last stage NO action will be able to cure that, they have been brain washed by MILITARY, MULLAHS and WAHABI MADRASSAS- IT IS TICKING BOMB and USA's ACTION MAY ACCELERATE THE DISINTEGRATION OF PAKISTAN DISINTEGRATION. Will this be GOOD for INDIA??? MY GUESS IS, YES. INDIA WILL DEFINATLY HELP BUT AFTER IT IS SPLIT IN FIVE COUNTRY.

Big Mistake. Americans are so naive
by singlanuj on May 08, 2009 07:49 PM  | Hide replies

Billions in US aid that are being showered on Pakistan reminds me of that scene in Slumdog Millionaire that took place at the Taj Mahal in Agra. An American tourist couple happened to ask Jamal, the hero, where they could find a guide to take them round the Taj. “I am a guide and will take you round”, came the prompt reply.

The Americans were so overwhelmed at finding a willing hand so readily that the man immediately flashed out a hundred dollar note and gave it to the boy. Jamal then coolly spun out tales about the Taj – a bit in the slick style of our Zardari Sahib – with no connection to actual facts, for which he was showered with many more dollars
