Islam is not against any sport
by arij bin hairat on Mar 13, 2009 03:23 PM

Islam is not against any sport leave alone cricket. islam has always supported clean, honest sports where any person can eexcel and achieve laurels for himself and his country.

the ones who cry foul on behalf of islam, have themselves very little knowledge about islam. they have different agenda which is far from any religion leave alone islam.

LeT's logic sounds more like RAM SENA or MODI / ADVANI talking. They are all the same kind - facist terrorists

cricket is politics
by dranil on Mar 13, 2009 03:18 PM

Today's cricket is nothing but a purely commercial game that employs professionals to ensure billions are earned and distributed among a few chosen ones. Every nation's topmost political leadership is involved in the game and made it political. By playing some shots players are becoming rich over night so also the sponsors which mostly are people well connected with political seat. In india, for example, big guns like Sharad Pawar (and many others) are involved. It is simple to underastand that unless there is scope to make big moneies, politicians will not get involved and cricket is the only such game at the moment. Terrorist know this fact well. Then we have made criecketers heroes and what not. They are bigger than even the president of this country. Naturally if they are harmed, nation is also harmed and the logic is thus simple. As politicians are clever so also the terrorists. They know where the money is and so they strike their and are often rewarded well in the past. That is why IPL like games should not be organized for the terrorists can strike diamonds and not gold by attacking our famous and rich cricketing heros. They will though escape for they have the Z security but the people who come to witness the game will definately be at the receiving end. Is IPL chairman MOdi listening?
