BJP since 1980 after Janata's debacle knew, of its own cannot it can not get a sufficient vote.Remember it had only one MP once in parliament. Then in coalition govt era togather with hindutva agenda, it started piggy-backing on other party's back to reach power on anti congress slogans. Once it reached power through coalition, it started spreading its own agenda both in NDA and in BJD Orissa. This has irked the true secular parties like BJD or JDUs or JDS. Hence this honeymooning is now over, which was long overdue.India had never been communal and cannot adopt communal posture.Even Narendra Modi had to shed his hindutva agenda (at least at face value) and started development plank to remain in power.New political alignment are expected and communal and casteist party's days are over now.Naveen Patnaik has done the correct thing. He is a bachelor and clean politician. In 11 years there is no scam. Corrupt ministers have been sacked mercilessly. May his tribe grow!

muslim votebank is what makes BJP untouchable to all parties.. BJD is on its deathbed now
Overconfidence and overdependence leads to failure. people of Orissa will show BJD its place. Naveen has betrayed a party who sacrificed its leaders at behest of him. His image of an oppertunist will make him disabled by Orissa peaple. Corrupt beurocrats like PYARIMOHAN upon whom he relys will bring his downfall.

You might be a BJP supporter but you have to understand the ground realities. You will see ,BJP would not be able to win a single seat in coming Lok Sabha and state election.BJD would be the single largest party with absolute majority.

what is wrong in using the cause of the oppressed hindu majority. Seems to be a right cause
We Indian have made ourselves hostage by empowering the regional parties. Regional Party are synonymous to those princely state before independence who used to act like authoritarian regime. Its ironically that we are butting towards the similar governance by delegating power to Regional Parties.
Winston Churchill once commented that India is not a NATION but abstraction. I can discern the fear discerned by Churchill. These regional parties are plague to our national unity and integrity. They are able to trigger the sentiments of people of the region they belong to harvest there own political objective. Fundamentally it is no difference between Separatist and Regional Parties was both are venomous and aim at penetrating the gullible sentiments of Region.
Its ironical that we indian still make ourselves victim of this vicious propaganda of this regional parties. Watch USA they only endorse 2 party system and that has lead to stability and thrust to USA economy and strength.
Unless and until we Indian dont make a pledge to expunge the nefariousness of Regional Parties we cant expect India to be strong and powerful nation

yes india should be bi-party democratic country like u.s.a and u.k but not single party or multi party just like now we have..... so that there will be more development on infrastructure and security
Re: ONLY MODI and ARUN JAITLEY CAN SAVE NDA
by All Right on Mar 11, 2009 07:55 PM
Not Modi and Arun Jaitley. After the 2009 Lok Sabha polls wherein the BJP will be decimated; the party to revive itself should re-invent itself. It can either go the hardline Modi way or more liberal Jaitley way. Most likely the party will split. If it goes the Modi way, then it faces extinction while it goes the liberal way, it can once again be at the helm of national politics
Now Biju will indulge in all sorts of Minority appecment...my dear Hindu Brothers and sisters vote for a Party which supports for the cause of Hindus other wise we all will face the fate of Kasmiri Hindus and Sikh community...

BJP itself is not required for this country. BJP's ideology is of stone age man's. If we want our country to progress then BJP shall be defeated.

Yes we want the taliban to take over India after Pakistan. The UPA will definitely support such a move and people like sekar pandian should be pray that the UPA comes to power again so that Muslim fundamentalists can be appeased and encouraged to bring in the Taliban into India

So you want to bring in Muthaliks to rule this country. Just wait for some time to see what is going to happen to Talibans : they will be wiped out of the planet.

Naveen may be a "drunkard" as you highlighted but he has ruled the state well...better than the previous Patnaik. We in Orissa want him to continue for the 3rd term as he is the best option we have among the worst. He'll win again, you wait and watch
