stop misusing names
by speaker on Mar 11, 2009 05:36 PM  | Hide replies

Gandhi is the most used word to collect votes. Many people think there is a respect for him by the Nehru family or a connection. But using Indira's husband name who was an unknown figure , they have collected votes for a long time.

Ram,Hindutva(whatever that means),Dalits,OBCs,Rajputs,Yadav,Kurmi,Maratha,Vokkaliga,Lingayat, are various names among 3000 odd used by everyone to get votes. At least the Gandhis are patriots ,Nehru threw away his luxurious lifestyle to rot in Jail for several years fighting for freedom.

I must congratulate the writer, never expected such a detailed dossier about Naveen Patnaik.
It is he who is all around in Orissa, for the sake of Orissa devlopment,he must get a clear mandet for atleast for another two terms.

If by any chance Congress-J.B.Patnaik come to the orissa affairs-It will be most pathetic for the lovely state-called Orissa.

Long live-Naveen

When trust is betrayed, the Indian emotionally does not accept the betrayer. It happened in Karnataka, the JD(S) betrayed the trust of BJP and the people threw out JD(S) and Congress. JD(S) came a distant third.

One should not abuse the public faith in an alliance by such display of their so called invincibility. A few thousand votes could tilt the balance. LK Advani may find it difficult if the votes gets split across three alliances. But the beneficiary will be Congress.

The communists have done nothing but create instability. West Bengal is down, the cruel ways of administration in Singrur, Nandigram are all too recent to be forgotten. How come the communists have forgotten their own words about the POSCO deal of Naveen? Now, that he has divorced from BJP all his past ideological bends are to be seen as pro-left by the leftists? Isn't this political prostitution?

Factsheet for those who hail Gandhi's
by Bharatwasi on Mar 11, 2009 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

1. BJP was non-existing when Mahatma Gandhi was killed. It is only a congress theory that RSS planned the attack!
2. Neither Indira Gandhi nor Rajiv Gandhi died for nation! It was their politics that led sharp reactions from certain communities. Don't forget congress leaders killed hundreds of Sikhs after Indira Gandhi's assassination.
3. Rajiv Gandhi was a man of words only. He absolutely did nothing for betterment of India despite having 3/4th majority. He only allowed one multi-national IT company in India by breaking several rules. But, having STD booths and couple of IT companies didn't solve any of India's major infrastuctural problems such as roads, electricity, clean water, medical facilities, adequate food supply for children. He also made grave mistakes in Shahabano case and by opening the doors of Ayodhya Mandir! Rajiv Gandhi is the BEST example of how a PM should not be!
4. Several BJP/RSS leaders like Vajpayee didn't even get married to dedicate their life for India. But of ocurse, like many other parties there r some oopprtunistic politicians in BJP as well.

This election now has only two possibilities: a) Congress will most likely loose in all major states and will be forced to support Devegowda type govt. b) BJP reaches around 180 and claim support from opportunistic regional politicians. Indian voters should start rejecting regional parties at the center. If they start giving alternate govts to BJP and Congress, it will be far better for India

RSS and VHP created BJP. Nath Ram Godse was part of RSS and did it for their cause and on the insistance of Jinnah.

But Congress made ManMohan the PM as well. Sikhs support congress and they know the terrorism in Punjab created by Pakistan was the root of all this.
Opening the doors of a temple does not mean that he wanted the Mosque to be razed. It was BJP which fanned these Hindu feelings and hatred agains Muslims.
How do we know that he did not marry because he wanted to serve the country? Is Advani's marriage in that case a fault.

You are only repeating Congress's logic about Godse, RSS and BJP. It just happens that same people join multiple organizations. If someone joins a social welfare organization and later kills someone, would you blame that social welfare organization. It is not about marriage. It is about selfless devotion for country. Congress never respected Gandhism and only used it as a vehicle during elections.

Manmohan Singh became PM just like one morning Devegowda became PM. It was only because Gandhi family felt least threat from him. Killing hundreds of Sikhs is still a big crime! BTW, anti-sikh riots were much wider than post-Godhra riots. After Anti-sikh riots, people chose BJP. After post-Godhra, people still voted for BJP.

Allowing Shilanyas was done to please Hindus who felt cheated in Shahabano case. It was a small step, but because of that BJP/VHP got instant publicity and Hindus widely supported Ram Mandir thinking it is possible. It was one of the biggest blunders of Rajiv Gandhi showing his poor leadership and vision.

I am not really a big supporter of BJP. And in fact, favoured Narsimha Rao in 1990s. Surely Narsimha Rao, Vajpayee and Advani are better leaders than entire Gandhi family

BluffMaster Advani - BJD KKicked him in the right place
by mahe on Mar 11, 2009 05:10 PM  | Hide replies

Advani's bluffs:

1. Jinnah is great man. He created Pakistan. But Pakistan is our enemy.

2. Taliban is responsible for cross border terrorism. But when Masud azhar was handed back, advani as home mister said "I dont know about this"

3. Saddhvi Pragya is tortured by the ATS. The mumbai ATS is linked with ISI.
After Karkare's death. Karkare was great man who gave his life of the country.

4. Mussslims are terrorists. But during his poll campaign he says, "Mulsssims must think whom to vote, one party has used them for years as vote bank and did nothing for them. Give the other party a chance this time"

Your are talking bluffs and picking words out of context.
1. Advani only quoted what Jinnah said in Pakistan's parliment. Jinnah had said, now Pakistan is created, we should respect other religions. Advani was absolutely right by quoting Jinnah's words (who is haile as Pakistan's father)
2. Decision about handing back Masud Azhar was right decision considers hundreds of relatives went to PM asking for safety of the people stuck in the plane. Unlike Mumnbai episode, it was at least possible to negotiate with terrorists. Also, a commando operation in a foreign country was absolutely not realistic. Even in Mumbai they took 3 days. Nobody in the plane would have survived. Even Chidambaram recently accepted that the decision was tough!
3. It is difficult to know about Sadhwi Pragya's case now. However, it seems ATS didn't have substantial proofs against her. ATS chief was killed like any other person on the road. He didn't get killed while fighting. He went there underprepared and got kiiled as terrorists only wanted the Police Jeep.
4. I have heard Advani's several speeches. He never ever said Muslims are terrorists. On the other hand in 1992 speech which I witnessed, he said most Muslims want Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. It is only some Muslim leaders and Congress leaders creating the fuss! At the hight of Ram Mandir issue there were many Muslim leaders in BJP.

BJD winning confidence vote after severing ties with
by swami pudipeddi on Mar 11, 2009 05:10 PM  | Hide replies

Congratulations Mr.CM of Orissa. It is definitely an undigestable thing to BJp-NDA. But the strategy is of the BJD is right. Its rebuff to the announcement of Deve Gowdaji that he spoke to Mr.Naveenpatnaik and he is joining the proposed third front is of strength. The indication is that he does not align with a party which is likely to seek the support of Congress to form the Govt. The third front is dreaming that Congress supports it to keep NDA away from power. These people should understand that during the regime of NDA there was development and the prices were with in the reach of common people. UPA which came to power only by shouting about rise in prices contributed fro thier further rise by three to fourfold of the prices during NDA rule. Therefore, I am sure that BJD will support NDA Govt. if it can form counting support of BJD.
