Irony isn't it, whereas Gandhi stressed the value of simplicity over materialistic life, his belongings are no more simple. They are assets valued at millions. I believe, if it were for Gandhi, he would have disowned them. And all those who value his principles above his belongings should do the same. Ignore the auction, its only a material thing! They will never be able to auction his philosophy !

and Nehru would not have been PM and India would have developed much more like at the pace which Japan grew.
It is shamful on the part of Indian Government especially Congress Party, who are spoiling Mahatma Gandhi's name in evey Election as well as forthcoming election too. In stead of auctioning hope you will give it me so that i can keep it in safe custody as Indian as well as follower of Mahatma Gandhi.
Rediff is fooling people, I tried sending a mail using the mail id shown in this article,
but the mail is not going the remark came in red letters are " invalid address" if your righting something make sure it is correct,otherwise you are cheating the people

Definitely this should fetch much more money compared to those past contemporaries. Government organization should be solely engaged in activities like, spreading non-violence and upliftment of poor mass of rural areas, with its help. Fundae of 80 percent money vanquishing in this top down design should not be applied in this case of social betterment.
