Few people know about red fort trials and the subsequent revolt by royal navy and army. Gandhi plucked freedom from the tree and gave to us. Nice fairy tale.

Gandhi was a man who made a great country as banana republic. He made more than a billion people as soft targets for terrorists. They keep on attacking and as we the followers of Gandhi, who believe in non-violence keep quite and bend before them.

It will work. To kill 1.2 billion - one bullet per head from AK47. They will be tired and bankrupt and kill themselves. We don't have to have birth control. we will be safe country of one million rich people.

Auctioning
by deepti de on Mar 03, 2009 06:46 PM  | Hide replies

First of all Government of India should establish the authenticity of those items - that they were really used by Mahatma. I doubt they are duplicates

Auction!!!!!
by Vivek Kanwasia on Mar 03, 2009 06:28 PM

I dont see any prob when he is auctioning those items, but i guess we should see what he is doing with that money after aucionining, as he said about GDP and other things, I think should auction those items adn come to india and then do a deep study on india and help the people here with that money not all the but as much as he can do that would provide a respect to the Fatehr of Nation and he would feel proud up there that still his little things are making a big changes

GOI should focus on the country
by anuj agarwal on Mar 03, 2009 05:47 PM  | Hide replies

There are important issues like following Gandhi's philosophy of simple living which GOI should try to follow. It does not matter if someone is auctioing his items. Gandhi's IZZAT is at stake in this country because his dream of turning this country into a self reliant vibrant nation is no where near fulfillment.

Did you ever attempt to read anything about India's progress towards self-reliance during last 50 years? Why do you give loose comments?

Does those assets really belongs to Gandhi ji..
by aditya jhalani on Mar 03, 2009 05:39 PM

Indian Government has many secured belongings to Mahatma Gandhi at the Smarak at Sabarmati, Gujrat.

The claim is true or not.... first think over it then make a hype over it.
