ALAS! THIS RAIN PHENOMENON COULD NOT BE SOLVED
by Utpal Dutta on Jul 03, 2009 10:55 PM  | Hide replies

Today's science, claimed to have ADVANCED`SO MUCH, but this simple rain mystery could not yet be mastered!
There are people who will jump saying 'why rain has been produced by experiments of science !"
But alas! at the time of a natinal need thats so little and useless!
BUT THERE`ARE WAYS IN 'SANATAN DHARMIC PRESDCRIPTIONS' which brings rain and its by performing 'JAGNAS', which is going to be forgotten by modern 'disbeliefs' !
Who can help ?

Sure. Cut all trees and convert a rain forest into a scrub jungle after which you still expect 400 cm's of rain. Ridiculous, and when it doesn't pour, you throw your hands up and beg for forgiveness. When will Indian's grow up.

Well in UK it rains all the time. So is the case in Amazon.
Are you saying it is due to YAGNA or in your word 'JAGNAS'.
If there is no condensation there won't be rain. Focus on planting trees than focusing on YAGNA's

Indian rivers should be part-diverted to the south lands away from the Sea and B'desh....Get Ganga-Brahmapura to the south for prosperity and green atmosphere for the entire country...just prayers alone will not help...God helps men who make an effort.

We need a Hoover Dam in India
by NADU on Jul 03, 2009 09:56 PM

Just like USA has an Engineering marvel in the form of the Hoover Dam, India badly needs something like this.
As far as naming this Dam, choose your favourite politician.
Spread the word!!!

Interlinking of rivers
by abhishek mawle on Jul 03, 2009 08:38 PM  | Hide replies

BJP had an ambitious plan of interlinking of rivers which will bring water to all states. It should be implemented fast to stop this mismanagement of water resources. Ganges flows throughout the year,it should be interlinked with other rivers from stopping it to flow into Bay of Bengal.

They implemented it in Gujarat and brought a lot of land under cultivation. Each state has to do it. Center does nothing.

save water when it is available
by bhuvan on Jul 03, 2009 06:14 PM

The monsoon is delayed this year, OK. But the problem is when monsoons are good, there is no proper storage facilities. I dont know when a new dam was planned or built for either irrigation or hydro-power. Whatever dams we have today are from British or Maharaja period. Atleast now, Govt. should seriously plan for some good reservoirs.

Why make us live in a fool`s paradise.
by Rahul Singh on Jul 03, 2009 05:02 PM  | Hide replies

It is not Karnataka alone which is facing the dry spell. A.P. and Hyderabad in particular is facing most rotten weather due to lack of rains.

Rather than blaming the nature the whole blame is squarly put on the government. The way governments of the day are chopping the aged old tress mersilessly, we are paying a heavy price for their misdeeds. In the name of development trees are being chopped, greenery has vanished. Vegetables are no more grown as these growers have minted lot of money during the boom time when land rates were soaring high. Today the vegetables or fruits are being imported from outside Hyderabad. The result is spiralling high prices of essential comodities.

Places have never witnessed such high temperatures. When the monsoons should have covered the whole of India by 1st July, a major part of North India including Hyderabad in the deccan pleatus is facing extended summers with temperatures hovering close to 40 degrees. A/Cs are running in full swing as a result the supply is not able to meet the burgoing demand - hence the severe power cuts lasting for 2-4 hours unofficially. People are complaining of physical discomforts and health complications due to failure of monsoons.

BE PREPARED TO FACE 50 DEGREES TEMPERATURE ALL OVER INDIA IN 2010. NO MONSOONS WILL SHOW ANY MERCY IF THE GREEN HOUSE GASES, AIR POLLUTION AND CARBON FOOT PRINTS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE.

correct, cutting trees is the main cause of this situation. Politicians and builders are breathing in a concrete jungle in an AC room leaving less fortunate people die a dusty dry weather.

Very soon we'll have import oxygen from where ever it is available. corrupt govt, corrupt policies with corrpt civilians.

we are paying price for our misdeeds.

unless we increase greenary MASSIVELY VERY SOON days are doomed.

even though scientists smile saying water is nothing but H2O, the world suffers from drinking water scarcity. i think companies like Coke and Pepsi should stop using drinking water to manufacture drinks until such time there is no scarcity for drinking water!! Alas when will MAN LEARN THE LESSON TO CONSERVE DRINKING WATER!!
