cutting trees is the main cause of this situation. Politicians and builders are breathing in a concrete jungle in an AC room leaving less fortunate people die a dusty dry weather.
Very soon we'll have import oxygen from where ever it is available. corrupt govt, corrupt policies with corrpt civilians.
we are paying price for our misdeeds.
unless we increase greenary MASSIVELY VERY SOON days are doomed.
Karnataka will have normal rains this year too, but now a days the season starts very late after Sunami....Mumbai for exanmple was dry in the month of June 2009 but July 1st week it rained same phenomena last year also.
In the long run we need to anticipate dry dams and water scarcity the only soluion is inter connecting all the rivers, increasing the vegetation.

its been drizzling in bangalore for the past 2 days. but no heavy showers coz bangalore lies in the rain shadow region of the western ghats.
Indian rivers should be part-diverted to the south lands away from the Sea and B'desh....Get Ganga-Brahmapura to the south for prosperity and green atmosphere for the entire country...just prayers alone will not help...God helps men who make an effort.

Have you any Idea that the river Ganges which you are thinking of diverting may be drying up in 30-40 years because of Global Warming and melting of its glacier leaving a huge gap in the mountains..
What will you do then? Form a glacier.. Mind the affaris where they are..
