What did GOD do in its 35 years of rule?

Had a huge number of industries closed down?

Put back education in WB back several years?

Packed universities with student unions?

Killed work culture in WB throughly?

Failed on the health care front miserably?

Politicized the police completely?

Lots more ... achievements to be proud of!

the left govt has reduced poverty from 57% to 21% in 35 years as per a world bank report.
Real enemy of Bengal are those Bhadraloks who enjoy every benefit of industry but wants a farmer's son to remain farmer.

BJP has the largest union in whole of India. CITU is not even close... India has always been Jai Jawan and Jai Kissan.. We do not need the BS coming out of filthy mouths of CPM supporters... You do not speak for farmers, you speak for an ideology. We were glad to kick you out of PUNJAB when you seemingly had some success in other states.

Dear Mohan,
Ratan Tata is not a land grabber. You don't know the work culture of Tatas and how they care their employees. You go and see Jamshedpur what Tatas has done to that area and the development taken place. Don't mix up with Tatas and the dirty politics. You are ignorant about Tatas. Ratan Tata is a noble personality.

A little knowledge is dangerous. Tatas had nothing to do with Nandigram, Mr. Mohanan. Please refrain from commenting on matters which you are not aware of. If, losing a panchayat poll is an indicator for resignation of a CM, then all the CM's of all states should resign and we can be officially designated a "banana" republic.

The Nandigram people have no clue what is Singur or where it is located or who the Tata's are. They have voted against the communists to protest against their atrocities.
If your logic were true, CPM would have lost the Para election too. But they did not. They won with a large majority. The electorate wants fair representatives and in Nandigram, that's what they have chosen.

Nandigram has gone back to 19th century where son of a farmer will remain farmer toiling hard in a saline mono-crop land.
And, brother of Mamta will enjoy the fruits of industrial society by becoming a lead contractor of kolkata.

What Mamata has done for the people of
Bengal is, she scared off Jyoti Basu from election, the man under whose leadership Bengal fell from 2nd state of India to 18th (or maybe lower). People of Bengal shd be ever grateful
for that.

Mamata has done nothing noteworthy for the ppl. Trinamool won because ppl voted against the communists, not because they chose TMC. If Congress had a decent leader in Bengal, they could have won teh seat.
