@maximus: fortunately I am not in India. I am in kiwisthan and its a really beautiful lovely place. Though the economy is not so large but still there is absolutely no probs whatever and everyone gets on with their life happily. Say goodbye to India.

I thought same as you and tried escaping. It is not possible. *conscience*... Instead of enjoying NZ, you also are writing on rediff blog. I actually have more faith in today's younger generation. They are better fighter than I ever was. They have changed India and they will bring about change in other areas as well.

@Ashwin: Please read sarcasm in their posts. They don't mean it. They care for India as much as you. Everyone is just frustrated. But I think this can be changed. People need to vote smarter in next election.
Assam is becoming synonymous with bomb blast. Since there is utter deficiency of leaders like Laloo and Mayawati and Jayalalitha and Thackery to create sonic booms, we have the real things over here. Dispur, the de-facto capital of Assam has an area, 'Ganeshguri Chariali' that holds the dubious record of being the most bombed place in India. As of October 30th, the day of the deadly Guwahati blast, the score stood at 19 times! But our CM is a real cool dude, he is left utterly unfluttered by such exhibtionsim. The people of Assam are legends in their own rights, so open hearted and welcoming, why we have nearly handed over our motherland to the Bangladeshis in our tradtional practice of resignation characterised by 'ki nu koriba?' (Ab kya kar sakte hain?/What to do?). Surely this large heartedness will not diminish in forgiving wretched and vagabond sons of soils like Tarun Gogoi and Hamanta Biswa Sarma? But the militants and the Hujis are becoming rather monotonous in their acts of desperation. They have totally failed to create panic and disturb the daily routine of the Assamese gentry despite bombing here there and everywhere else. After all we do have the non chalance to exclaim 'ki nu koriba' and just get on with it! Come to think of it, even that is becomig a litle too monotonous for comfort!
A simple 3 point demand should be presented by all Indians to the government -
(a) Complete the border fence on the entire Indo-Bangladesh border. Ask citizens to donate money if funds are short.
(b) Provide every Indian with a national ID. In the last 30 years, India's population has grown by about 35%, whereas Assam's population has grown by 115%. This is the result of Bangladeshi infiltration. If you don't have a computerized national ID, you are not Indian. The communists, the RJD, the Indian Union Muslim League and some congresspeople oppose this for obvious reasons.
(c) Deport Bangladeshis and make it a criminal offence to hire illegal Bangladeshis in India.
This is the demand of the citizens of the northeast, and should be implemented immediately. Every nation on earth except India has a national ID scheme, including Pakistan (it is called NADRA - you cannot go to Pakistan and pretend to be Pakistani, they will demand your number and arrest you when it doesn;t show in their records - meanwhile any Pakistani or Bangladeshi can merrily walk into India and demand to become a voter by getting 5 local people to vouch for them - which is easy given how many have already sneaked into the voter and ration rolls).

a. Use funds send to Bdesh every year and stop the fund for Palestines in Gaza.
b. Leftist n Congress will go to Bdesh and distribute those ID card to them.
c. In daylight 100 will be deported with media coverage and by night they will be brought back in 200.
