CBI may be right....
by Sundaram on Aug 27, 2009 08:33 AM

There are several cases where the CBI might have identified the crooks but they get away scot free because of political patronage. One should understand how frustrated CBI feels in such cases. Ask Justice Santosh Hegde in Banga-lore and he will tell you, hecan write a book on his frustrations, despite doing an outstand-ing job in hunting down most "big fish" tax evaders.

CBI must be freed of political pressures.....
by Sundaram on Aug 27, 2009 08:28 AM

Several factors stand out in case of CBI:
a) It needs to improve its skill set consider-
ably to be able to improve its solved vs un-
solved cases percentage. It needs consider-
able professionalization.
b) It should be freed from political pressures
to deliver "customized" findings & should
report direct to CJI or a non-compliant
President of India.
c) Its functioning must be scrutinized period-
ically by a non-political independent body.

d) It should be equipped with modern tools of
intelligence gathering for selective shar-
ing of information with its branch offices,
say, thro' encrypted transmissions of commu-
nications.
e) It should strive to earn the trust of the
people for its impartiality & independence.

Delay in justice
by swapnajoy nath on Aug 27, 2009 08:24 AM

Delay in judiciary encourages the higher authority, which will be delayed to initiate a counter enquiry against him/her, if it is proved that the whole initiation of first case was false.

We need good justice system for progress and fighing corruption
by Jaganath Bharat on Aug 27, 2009 04:05 AM

India has a very good fighter plane, HAL Tejas, but due to corruption and bureaucratic blackmail, we cannot mass produce this plane, and other other weapons. Now we're forced to buy these aircraft from other countries at an overpriced rate, with political humiliation and technical subservience for spare parts, service, etc. Money is better spent upgrading and mass producing Tejas, to be equal to any other fighter.

CBI - the biggest joke in India
by Sanjeev Singh on Aug 26, 2009 07:20 PM  | Hide replies

Can anyone remind me -One case that CBI solved that involves stalwarts of indian poltical system-Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Quottorchi, Telgi, Harsha d Mehta, Sukhram, 1984 riots, babri masjid etc etc te cte ... Actually if you dont want to solve a case give it to CBI--CBI will change its own stand in courts basis the govt in delhi and will eaken the case - Case over. Corruption is part of life its being addressed by a new name - JUGAD. See the PM is here by JUGAD (nominated by queen of congress); You can see everywhere people asks - Yaar koi Jugad hai-..even to do basic works in govt offices u need jugad. India is running on JUGAD.
