The Art of War on Terror: Triumphing over Political Islam and the Axis of Jihad
By Moorthy Muthuswamy
Paperback, 2007
236 pp., $21.95.

Pakistan and its nuclear arsenal catastrophically may fall into the hands of jihadists. But the South Asian version of jihad is a less familiar but no less fearsome variant of the war directed at the Great Satan America, and the Little Satan, Israel.

At one billion people, Hindus, the majority of whom live in the Indian sub-continent, constitute the third largest religion in the world after two billion Christians and 1.5 billion Muslims. Yet, their numbers have not spared Hindus from ongoing, systematic Muslim attacks in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

On April 23, 1977, Bangladesh amended its constitution, renounced secularism and dedicated itself to Islamic solidarity. In 1988, Islam became the state religion and sharia the law of the land. Meanwhile, an insurgency by Muslims of almost 20 years duration in the Indian Kashmir Valley is part of an ongoing attempt to Islamicize the region and expand Pakistan by incorporating the valley. Toward that end, Muslims have expelled 350,000 Kashmiri Hindus and have murdered, raped and kidnapped them.

In his book, Muthuswamy explains how Islamic religious beliefs and systems function to fuel and, even demand, constant efforts to annihilate all non-Muslim populations.

This books represents the naked truth.

Many Indians (Hindus)dont get the message you are trying to convey.Even our politicians purposely ignore this to the peril of this country. I wish people of India wake up soon or they will find we are no longer Hindustan but part of Pakistan.

Self respect

If PM Singh has any selfrespect, he should tell Bush and company to not to lecture about tolerance. India is a soverign country, and the christian missionaries from USA are the main problem. PM is going for old nuke technology that is not going to solve India's energy problems. There is no need for Singh to get lectured on by idiots, and I hope he stands tall and proud, and tells these white to take a hike!

the problem with the Congress party is that they have no sense of shame... they will always stand tall and proud and preen their feathers as if they were kings... just waiting for the next election to see a total rout of this party... hail Mayawati!

US should look at saudi
by Kajal Sethi on Sep 23, 2008 03:22 AM  | Hide replies

Saudis provide the best example of religious freedom. No Temples, No Churches =no problems. Whilst they give billions to build mosques in other countries, they would not have one in their country.

If US is so proud of Religious tolerance they should not have attacked Iraq to annihilate 'Islmaist Fundametalism' instead they should have captured Al Quida and Osama..why invade whole country..so don't give India a bullshit and don't interefere in India's internal affairs.Period.

Mr Bush will reject the false advice of Xtian fanatics
by Ladoo sab on Sep 23, 2008 02:44 AM  | Hide replies

Xtian majority in US is ready to accept the plea of Muslim fanatics to allow 'Sharia' as their civil law ? Matter of fact Muslims in India allowed Sharia is the law for the muslims.

US will allow the Muslim to marry four woman or more at the same time ? India have it.

US will give Haj subsidized for the Muslims ? India doing it.

US will declare national holiday for Muslim and Hindu festivals like Xtmas. India has Xtmas and Hindu and Muslim festivals are national holidays ?

If Mr Bush has to speak for the minority in India he has to listen to some normal persons. Not to some xtian fanatics.

As a matter of facts Mr Bush to be more wise to keep quite about relegional matter in India. As US is a secular country.

This is such a blatant lie - Manmohan needs to hit out loud and clear!!!
by anir on Sep 23, 2008 02:39 AM  | Hide replies

- In the recent incidences, Xians have attacked and killed the hindus (without any provocation) e.g. Orissa! Or due to deceitful conversion and provocations by Xians!

- the minority called muslims have been busy blasting bombs...hindus are dying across the whole country including now the capital!

- in last 50 years, HINDUS HAVE BEEN WIPED FROM KASHMIR, THEIR OWN COUNTRY OF 5000 YEARS, WHERE WAS AMERICA AT THA TIME??????

And THESE GUYS ARE TELLING THAT MINORITIES ARE BEING TROUBLED...ITS THE OTHER WAY ROUND!

Besides, throught history, unlike islam and Xiatinity, hindus have never attacked any country just with the intention of conversion!

Instead has been refugees for various persecuted minorities jews, Ahmadians (muslims), buddhists in tibet!

What the HELL are these guys talking about????

I think Indian media's selective reporting is to blame!
