3 AM?
by Bird on Mar 13, 2008 07:28 PM  | Hide replies

I feel very sad to see wha happened to British Girl and the guilty should be bought to justice.

But, I blame Scarlett equally for what happened. How can any girl walk into a cafe/beach at 3 in the morning. No place .. be in US, UK, Europe ... is safe for anyone at 3 AM. Scarlett's parents should have taken care of their daughter instead spending time away from her in Gokarna.

"But, I blame Scarlett equally for what happened."

Nothing, nothing can condone what happened. She may have made a mistake, but thats not appropriate

You are right.. human beings behaving like worst beast are not at fault, but 15 year old who came to India to enjoy her vacation was at fault.

thats right ... dreaming of India.

A 15 year old girl who came to India to enjoy her holidays and who took drugs and walked into a beach cafe at 3 AM alone.. is never at fault.

Anyways, crime is crime and guilty should be hanged.

I Agree.

The issue also is, it took this stupid IGP/Goan Police so much time and pressure to solve a problem.

Immediately after investigation hand over the case to FAST Track Court
by satyarthi on Mar 13, 2008 07:24 PM

Since it involves a teengaed girl tourist, the case after proper investigation must be handed over to a fat track court. The British Commission must be kept informed about the developments. Meanwhile, Goa police should go be made responsible for 'easy availability of Drugs' in that region.
Signboards shold be placed cautioning tourists about taking drugs with strangers.

They did it only after receiving opprobrium from everywhere. Initially they wanted to brush this under the carpet! Wonder why......

ya,congrats but how much proding and media attention was required to make them do their normal duty, shame on them.i think they are paid to do the job and not to protect guilty, imagine the accused being a rich man and girl from a poor family,i dont think case would have even come this far.police in india dont even know their ethics and they are just lay men in a khakhi dress withut knowing their duties and responsibilities.people are blaming the girl, what a joke, what happenned to men dont they have decency not to behave like that with females whether it is 3am or 10am.just disjusting,it happens only in india mostly, they respect women and also abuse them.women need more power in india.police in india are just not independent and unbiased.if i ask 10 people on street i thin atleast 7 will say they dont trust police.that is the major difference between policing in india and western countries.people have faith and police are independent and try to be transparent in western countries and thats why less incidents happen adn less incidents are left withut answers.police in india needs professionalism.they are just not professional at all.

Yes. They have done it after lot of pressure and coaxing to make the idiots do the job.

Have you been reading for the past few days, how long it took and how much pressure everyone has to put to make these guys do their job.

Good job my foot. It would be a good job if they just went all out to solve the issue without any outside pressure. With so many eye witnesses, they couldn't get hold of a single person for so long and suddenly they found 10 people who all watched it!! Jackass IGP Kishen Kumar.
