I think that you are a Agent from Left parties, what nonsense is thisdo you have any brains US cant even control, Afghanistan and IRAQ for that matter and forget about India india is is too big for them to handle, they just want another force in Asia to challenge the Chinese. and thats to our advantage why not make hay while the sunshines we should take advantage of this and buy the time to come out with alternatives for energy. Remember India on its own can never be a Ace, and India cannot look forward to chinese as their friends because they are more dangerous then USA, one would never know when this chinks would stab you in your back. Dont forget one more thing most of the money come to India from US, more then 50% of remittances come from US alone and India in 2007 alone had a remmitance amounting around 28 billion $'s so stop thinking US as devil may be it is but not in our case, in our case they want to use us as counter power for China if they want to use us then why not we also use them and make the most out of it. We as Indians are good but we still have long way to go.

Yes, discussion boards like these are filled with US clonies who are blindly supporting this deal. The govt have no right to push the deal when majority in Parliament and public opinion is against it... The deal is a disaster for India, and will end up making us another US colony like Pakistan and many European and Gulf states
I think the best way is go for new public opnion regarding this and who will come in majority in parliament go for as per people of the country. But people should think that give your mandotary one party and not like NDA/UPA
What exactly Left parties want? They don't want BJP to rule...they don't let congress to rule..they can never ever rule..So what their argument here? when you do not have majority, sit tight and keep quiet. if not get out from the centre and start protest the same old way. Left parties don't have any responsibility of keeping the congress government. BJP & Congress are their political rivals.
After last loksabha elections,it was a question of who will rule.. The left became the decision makers.. It is a question of choosing between the sea & the devil... And they selected the sea... And the left support Congress only to keep away BJP from power.
It is for national interest that they supported congress all these 4 years..
Not present situation regarding N-deal came because of Manmohan Singh's committment to fulfil George Bush's demands.. It is not surprising as everyone know that Manmohan Singh is a man who always work as per USA instructions.The best example is the 1995 GATT & WTO agreements..
If the congress want to sacrifice it's government for American interests,let them do it...Why should the left care about them anymore?
Congress may be thinking that N deal is the biggest problem in India now.. They don't care about the inflation,rising prices,incresing poverty & unemployment..

if kerala with all its human-life indices is not advanced, comparable only to japan or scandinavian countries, which the most cash rich indian states with all its resouces cannot make it--- what is more advanced? and if keralites vote for the left, that means something. do you have any delusion that your statements are any less 'sweeping'.

My salute to left parties for the firm stand on the issue and not compromising with any patch-up. That shows how left is different from other parties (specially Congress and other smaller ones - who don't have any principle whatsoever - ready to go any miles to stay in power) as long as principle is concerned.

They are as they were equally uncompromising in their PRINCIPLES, check about their perfidy and treason during China's attacking India, during quit india movement.
Current Chief Minister of Kerala, VS Achuthanandan, one of their politbureau member, one of their top most comrades, during itroducing of computerisation, that one computer would rob employment of 10 pleople and that would lead to large scale un-employment. Now see the situation, he is in the for front for laying stones for software parks cyber city, technopoark etc. Think little more before you talk about PRINCIPLES.

Alladin, Communist have a crude mentality of getting things for free. Whether it is politics of bureacracy. They wont work but want full wage. Same they are applying on this nuclear deal too. Tell me when did you get any thing for free? No one in this world is fool enuf to give you anything without safegaurding his/her own interest. Same goes with this nuclear deal too, its a deal, it has its own merits and demerits. India can't get everything for free, we have to sign some agreement to get benefitted.

Accept the truth and truth is we need energy to have synergy in development and to advance for the betterment of our future generation and it is possible by acquiring more energy. One have to think of long term benefit rather than the short term and in the interest of the country this Nuclear deal hold all the positives we need for the future so that our future generation could a better tomorrow.

Shesh, I don't think comminuists are so unrealistics - they know it well nothing comes free. It is typical Indian middle class people like you who expect best of both worlds. Here are few examples 1. Favour globalisation - but cannot take it when the petrol price increses globally - expect govt to pay for you. 2. Favour the private companies to build up Bangalore/Hyderabad airports - but make hue and cry when they charge high for the airports - expect Govt to do something 3. Opened account with private banks (Global Trust bank) and enjoy the service, one day when they declared shutdown - a govt bank has to come down to rescue the middle class customer.
N-Deal is one such thing which this middle class is supporting without realising the full consequence.

Shesh Lak, In more than last 60 years, govt has to depend on left parties only for last 4 years. Even then why India is backward. You are thinking the great leaders like MN Singh/Chidambaram are taking country forward? They cannot handle even the basic issue of providing food (nutritious/non-nutritious) to everyone in last 60 years. Do you call it development? You all werejumping when sensex was going to 21K. Now see how is it falling on everyday. It was bound to happen as all the development your PM/FM talks about are just illusions. No solid development can fall so easily.

Just where our country stands in the world.Fighting with petty issue.Cannot manage the country.This Govt.is worthless.When ever they came in power India rolled back to 100 years behind.See the other developing country.Singapore how come they manage.Fantastic city and the country itself.We would go abroad and feel alas!!! when would be alleast with par.Atleast not now think 100 years later.They would be ahead of us 400 years.Thats the pain.We can make it but we will not make it.Because politician every thing is for them not for their own country.
