Nuclear Scientists warn Govt against N-deal
by Guest on Jun 24, 2008 06:08 PM  | Hide replies

senior scientists strongly opposed Government seeking the IAEA Board approval.

"We are strongly of the opinion that the Government should not proceed to seek IAEA Board approval for the current draft safeguards agreement, until its implications are debated more fully within the country, or at least within the UPA-Left Committee," they said.

In a joint statement, P K Iyengar, former chairman of Atomic Energy Commission, A Gopalakrishnan, former head of Atomic Energy Regulatory Board and A N Prasad, former Director of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, said that the agreement should also be discussed with a group of experts who were not party to the IAEA negotiations.

The LEFT believes in reknowned Indian Scientists.

Why the allowed then the talk with IAEA first of all ?
Whom they belived when supporting Chinese during their attacking India in 1961 ? Now they openly betrays their affinity and real concern India or China.

Whom they trusted while apckin Taslima out of WB, even without allowing her change her dress.

Whom they took advice from while siding with Britishers during Quit India movement ?

First of all they know the Govt cannot move without their support, and this is God given opportunity to grab attention for wrong reasons, also they want to please their Muslim vote bank.

Wait until general elections, you would get the real feedback...about their patriotism.

You said it. Just to make minor correction: Sawarkar
sent a unconditional apology to British Queen saying
that he want to get out of Cellular jail and lead
a normal life without taking part in political activities against UK.

He kept his word, only thing he did afterwards was to
divide freedom movement on the basis of Hindu/Muslim
for that he became "Veer" Savarkar.

Till date there is no record of RSS or Hindu Maha Sabha
taking part in freedom struggle at any part of time.

As a matter of fact - RSS WAS THE ONLY "nationalist
movement" WHICH WAS NEVER BANNED BY BRITISH.

Congress was banned, Communists were shot at sight. But
RSS was all cosy for British. It is the psychological
acceptance of the British (or any imperial power) that
reflects in RSS uniform which is FULLY FOREIGN.

And they preach nationalism to us !!

Pratham:

On one hand you say Savarkar was in Cellular jail. In the same breath you say there is no record of RSS or Hindu Maha Sabha taking part in freedom struggle at "any part of time".

I think reading between the lines in your arguments, you begin with the outcome firmly implanted in your mind before you start sifting the evidence... :-)

The only objection you come up with in the end is - their uniform is fully foreign. No doubt you'd have the same comments for Azad Hind Sena as well.

Forget nuke deal. India is going to sign Iran-pakistan-India pipeline agreement next month. That is much better proposition as it will not only bring energy security to India but will also promote peace in our region.

The Iran deal is being bugged by US, it is difficult to materialise because of the US pressure on not signing the deal with Iran which happens to be a friendly nation to India since ages.

Do you know that we have Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan for sharing river water since 1962? And the treaty is still in place and working despite wars in 65, 71 and 99?

Mr aoneall,
Pls gain some knowledge. The water traety is working despite so many wars and terrorisms by pak as water is going from India to Pak. It is only because of India that it is still there. The pipeline from Iran to India shall pass through Pakistan. You shall see its fate even in the first war between the two countries.

Left parties have grown with the help mutual adjustments with other parties showing BJP as devil. Now they have some critical number of MPs to wage war on the ruling party since UPA is surviving because of communists. Who is helpless now?
PM as we see is dependent and he not prime minister , only minister in principle. Democracy should not have thrown such a Prime Minister. It was his luck.

Now congress requires guts to act if they really convinced that the deal will be good to India. Let them seek the help other parties and survive to complete 5 years golden opportunity. Otherwise call it a day and face the public. India was subjected to frequent elections to the advantage of the ruling party. This will be the first occasion to go for general elections on a serious issue ... dragged for more than one year.

My friend,
I congradualate you..
I nominate you for the "best Liar" award...
You saying imaginary things like you witnessed them..
If you got any soild proof just show them..
If you take the financial situation of political leaders in India, the left leaders are the one's with lowest money..
Just remember the "Hawala deal issue" in 1998..
Who was the politicians involved..
leaders from BJP,Congress,SP,Janathadal etc..

And not even a single Left leader was involved in the controversy...
Left parties got their working fund from street collections from common man...
No big instrialists or multinationals give money to the left....
They only support congress & BJP who enjoys the power & helps the rich men...

Hello great gopalakrishnan,

In any community influence of rich people would be there. By the way tell me which leader got convivetion in the your "Hawala...case"
Street collection is the only possible for them as their conduct is suiting STREET only.
What you said might be true that THEY HAVE MINIMUM MONEY. Doe it mean that their policies are genuine ?
For example you find out the cost of residence of Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, one of their Politbeauro member from Kerala.
Take the example of running of resorts on party office in Munnar in Kerala.
Check declaration of current CM of Kerala against computerisation couple of years ago.
If you try to redicule others without balanced response some one might be there to splinter you.

Everybody who connected with this leftist movement-activity, should be panelised iether by President of India, Election Commission, Supreme Court Of India, Our Law Commission, and Peoples of Imdia should be informed under the Law of Right to Information about What UPA Govt. is disscussing with these leftist parties? Why they are Purchsing the Time? President of India should declare them Deshdrohi? Congress led Govt. has no right to rule for single day in India? Somebody should ask all of them, Please give the Clarification on this subject? and President of India should ask Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh for his resignation.

Is Supreme Court of India can read this lines and between the lines? And is they can take steps aginst them?

If they are so good then why don't they come up with the life solution of power crisis? Its easy to sit on the other side and criticize but difficult to produce result. I can also do that.

why don't the politicians what people want
by ravindrnath rao! on Jun 24, 2008 06:04 PM

It is a shame that politicians do take people for granted. Why don't they pose this question whether to go for the nuclear deal or back-out to the general public through a referendum or opinion poll.

The bigoted politicians do have a feeling that they know everything under the sun.

It is time they ask what people of India feel about it.

I think that you are a Agent from Left parties, what nonsense is thisdo you have any brains US cant even control, Afghanistan and IRAQ for that matter and forget about India india is is too big for them to handle, they just want another force in Asia to challenge the Chinese. and thats to our advantage why not make hay while the sunshines we should take advantage of this and buy the time to come out with alternatives for energy.
Remember India on its own can never be a Ace, and India cannot look forward to chinese as their friends because they are more dangerous then USA, one would never know when this chinks would stab you in your back.
Dont forget one more thing most of the money come to India from US, more then 50% of remittances come from US alone and India in 2007 alone had a remmitance amounting around 28 billion $'s so stop thinking US as devil may be it is but not in our case, in our case they want to use us as counter power for China if they want to use us then why not we also use them and make the most out of it.
We as Indians are good but we still have long way to go.

Yes, discussion boards like these are filled with US clonies who are blindly supporting this deal. The govt have no right to push the deal when majority in Parliament and public opinion is against it... The deal is a disaster for India, and will end up making us another US colony like Pakistan and many European and Gulf states
