It's good to see credit to a man who fought against the stupid moghals and brought together all the hindus. I hope they make it as good as Statue of Liberty. Ofcourse it may be from money of Govt. But they should be able to recover the investment by making it as a tourist spot and making sure common can visit the place through ferries.

Ofcourse.But do u hear people talking about how Sardars saved India.Stupid Indians.They don't even know their own history.They forget that Sardars and Punjab was the first region to come under Muslim rule.It was the gallantry of leaders like Shivaji from Maharastra and regions of Bihar and Kalinga (Orissa) that kept the muslims at bay until a few decades from beginning of british rule.

Yes. Shivaji Was probably the first among the kings who reconised the threat of Moghal rule. And before Shivaji ... it was emperor Krishna Deva Raya who made sure the Musilm rulers did not enter south india. But after his death they made inroads in Bijapur and Hydrabad and then to Mysore.
