I have know Kirit Somaiya from my childhood days...I live in his neighbourhood Mulund and know for sure he is one PR crazy politician. Till now he never gave interviews or anything but now that political scenario has changed at Center and elections loioming large over our country he has started all this PR news. With Pramod Mahajan gone (he was the candidate in his consituency) he is only choice for a BJP ticket.
Keep up the good work, Mr. Somaiya. You have an excellent record f public service.
One question to everyone - would the government have dared to act so callously if the victims were largely Muslims? No. By now Sonia Gandhi and MM Singh wouold be losing their sleep over this. My fellow Hindus, why the hell do you not realise that your disunity and an utter lack of solidarity with co-religionists results in your life threatening injuries and even loss of life being ignored completely while the same government uses your tax rupees to subsidise Haj for bearded jokers who'll come back and bomb you? My heart bleeds to see my co-religionists being teated little better than a herd of cattle.

Dear MKM, I answer ur question. If the victime were muslim,they would have not got a single panny. Tell me how much Gujrat roits victims paid. More than 20 years ago there was Bhagalpur roits, even those victims did not get any compensation.

All Muslims staying in Eupore, in the West, Australia,New Zealand, Indonesia, Sri lanks, India (the largest Muslim Country), Malysia, Iran. Apart from few countries in middle east, i think Muslims vote everywhere.
What is the premise of this qestion anyway. By the waty Islam is the first religion to offer voting rights to women. Women in the west only got these rights in the 19th century.

Visvanathan u dumb a55, read the history, hindus were always at the receiving end till 1980's.At the time of partition hindus were wiped out of present pakistan and that is continuing now in bangladesh. After 1947 there were many riots in India. even before BJP was born there were hindu muslim riots . Christians have been doing conversion silently since 100s of years. when hindus started retaliating these traitors with the help of pakistan and bangladesh are doing bomb blasts....The present jihadi terrorism in india did not start due to BJP, the jihadis are there in India since 100s of years, they are just using modern technology to kill hindus now..

The Indian judiciary follows the DD/MM/YYYY format and so it should be 11/7 for July 11th. But no, the media calls it 7/11 because of it's resemblance to 9/11. With the media wanting to ape America so badly can one blame the Indian youth for doing the same?

i appreciate the article and work of supporting the victims by mr somaya. I feell if all of us Indians work towards putting up hard work in our area, help each other in time of need, we can definitely be a better to place to live in India. I would request that we should stop blaming comunities for all the ills. Its our individual good work which will take us long way ahead.
